I have a love-hate relationship with this game— I come back once every few months/years or so and usually only to relive playing mania and taiko. I’d be especially down bad if I end up coming back to this game to play standard because I hate that game mode with a passion (pure irrational hatred)

Lots of personality, I guess. I understand the fandom hate but I can also see why a lot of people new to the rhythm genre would enjoy this. Not my thing though, personally

I wish I could say I liked this, but I didn't because I'm bad at it. Objectively this game is honestly awesome, but I'm gonna have to give myself more time to master this game so I can suck less

I like the aesthetic as well as the base song selection. I love their DLC philosophy of "one-time purchase" and you'll get any future song packs
To backtrack, they don't sell the DLC that unlocks future song packs anymore. Sucks, and I'm not sure if it's my computer, but I'm also starting to notice frame drops and stutters. Rarely see myself booting this game up anymore because of it.

I'm actually obsessed with this game. I didn't know it could get any better after curtain call but, I was pleasantly surprised. More content, a more engaging story-mode and the mapping improved by a lot. Probably won't see me playing any other game aside from this for a while

The only exposure I have to the persona series is the hour I spent playing P5 and being forcibly fed the soundtrack for both the SMT and Persona series. The music for the persona series slaps and I've heard this is the best one in the dancing series and I can see why. Song list is pretty good. Story mode, even though I don't really understand for the most part, seem like really good fanservice for the fans. Gameplay wise, it's a little hard following the mapping given that its hard to distinguish what part of the song the rhythm is following. The approach lanes are too far apart for me too but I'll probably get used to it the more I play. When I get the chance I'll probably look into the other dancing series games but for now I'm content with this one

One of my main rhythm games, also probably the best way to play an official PD game if you can fix the framerate issues the PC port has
It’s Sunday, 07/23/2023 and I have lost all my progress because steam cloud sucks doodoo and corrupted my currently accumulated EX and EXEX perfects save data into nothingness. Don’t forget to export your saves guys or use Diva Mod Loader for the diva save mod. I’m lucky I was paranoid enough to at least have videos and recordings of all of them in my Twitch and YouTube

Before MM+ came out, this was most definitely the best accessible PD game in the market in my opinion. Much cheaper than other PS4 rhythm games, and it has some songs exclusive to this game as well that are not on MM+ (but you can just mod them in so, lol)

My party trick rhythm game. Love showing this to my friends for the novelty of a cook-off rhythm game that slowly goes haywire as the opponent girl’s clothes rip off and the judge has a field day with the food. Played for the shits and giggles and to just laugh at something for how ridiculous it gets. Without the novelty though, it's pretty bland in gameplay.

Really fun! The gyro mechanics are a little hard to gauge though, it's hard to tell if the way you're holding the phone can actually detect the rotations you're doing. It's a very huge problem for me given that I... kinda move a lot and tend to be very harsh in movement when it comes to rhythm games. Also, reading the types of notes are hard with the default skin, thank god they have more options. Note hitsound also sounds like ass so I turned that off too. Overall an interesting experience, I like how experimental it is and for the price of the base game it's well worth its price

This game is so silly in a really camp way. My favourite aspect is by far the soundtrack though, it's so bombastic and fits the theme the game is going for to a T. But as a rhythm game, the timing can be really iffy. Although playing it with a PaRappa mindset (I don't know how to explain it, I think anyone reading this will get what I mean by it) kind of makes up for how janky the timing can get

My memories with LLSIF are most definitely remembered through rose-tinted glasses since I literally grew up with it. So having this game grab the corpse of the original game, hang it up to a noose, then for it to join in with a successful murder-suicide is so painstakingly heartbreaking and unnecessary. Like, why even bother? Feels like an even worse OW2-syndrome because this game crashed and burned faster than anything I've seen in gaming aside from club penguin island. They really killed the original for this trashy "sequel" that consistently lagged when all it had to do was load flying JPEGs on the screen huh? Thank god for sonolus for having the beatmaps on a playable server. Good riddance for this game

I don't know if this is a popular opinion, nor do I really care to check since I don't know anyone who plays this game, but this game's UI is butt-ugly. Definitely prefer the first game in that regard. The story is better but honestly that's about the only thing I like more from this game compared to the first. Too much grinding and replay just to unlock not even a smidgen of progress

The general UI feels really, indie? Like it’s obvious one person made this game. Not that that’s a bad thing, I actually quite like it since it gives it a certain charm. The quality of the mapping can be varied, but overall I had a lot of fun with this game. And for the price of free? And still getting updated? With a shit ton of songs? This game is an overall banger

Everyone I encounter in this game is already a God and it's very intimidating. Input isn't very rhythm oriented, it's more like "how fast can you tap these buttons before the fourth beat?"

I live in Toronto, and the only accessible place that has this cabinet and is also relatively close to me as a broke, non-driving university student is the singular Dave and Busters location just outside the city and one of only two D&B's in the province (or country, need to double check). Was it worth the trip? I don't know, one of the buttons on the pad was faulty but goddamn I'd be lying if I said I didn't have fun

I really enjoy this game! Currently don’t have access to much of the songs, but the 5k approach lane just tickles my brain in the right ways

I don't actually remember how this game is mechanically, all I remember was that younger me fell in love with this when I played it on the PSP and that I loved K-On! with all my being

Why did they do this to you Gumi? You deserved a better game than this... the timing and charting is so ass how did it even pass inspection or playtesting?

It’s okay, I guess. Songs are really bare bones, SFX choices are questionable, and you’re better off playing an actual Rockband/Guitar Hero game or Clone Hero instead

I’ve never heard of the compass series prior to trying out this game. It’s especially a shame that I only got to try this game out after live service shut down. No way for me to get other songs nor try out the gacha system. With what I did have though, it was serviceable for what it was. An interesting selection of vocaloid tracks and gameplay very reminiscent of groove coaster. Wish the timing window was better though, given that sometimes my taps weren’t even registered half of the time and judgement is very loose/inconsistent. It would’ve been interesting seeing this game branch out a bit more but that’s just a what if that’ll never get the chance to happen. I’m surprised it even has an offline version after server shutdowns

The definitive way to play a lot of popular gacha rhythm games (proseka, bandori, LLSIF, hell even non-gacha games like voez and taiko) + other custom community maps based on those rhythm games. No gacha is an instant win

Has the same DLC philosophy as Muse Dash with the "lifetime season's pass" thing with their "Friends Forever" pack. It’s a fun time waster, also has an interesting selection of maps and is still being regularly updated. The quality of the maps are a little weird sometimes (from pretty good to absolute garbage) but I still come back from time to time

The story was fairly short and I honestly kind of snoozed through it. Gameplay difficulty can be quite steep, but manageable if you’ve played a similar six-button circle layout like the Persona Dancing series. Overall a really cute way to spend your time

Messy. The art style isn’t very good and the gameplay is far from enticing. Bottom of the barrel gacha idol rhythm game

I really appreciate the minimalistic look! Menu UI was hard to navigate in the beginning though, did not understand where anything was. This game is very reminiscent of Groove Coaster but it doesn't have swipe notes nor judgement times. It's either you tapped/held it or you didn't. It sucks the freeware version only has three songs available, but depending on how I feel about it after a few more replays I might just buy the permanent event DLC (which is very vague in what it offers, something that is making me second guess myself from actually buying it)

I wish I liked this game, but it had too much going on and it never really executed any of them very well. The approach lane is hard to read and fairly far from the car, which I think is detrimental given that the positioning of the car and what the characters are shooting at is just as important as the rhythm game aspect itself. Too much eye travel. As well, the button mapping is really unoptimized. Regularly felt my fingers cramping after playing the harder difficulties in this game, which doesn’t usually happen to me. The game has a lot of personality though, and I do like its soundtrack. I just wish the actual gameplay could make me stick around

Hot garbage. No wonder they abandoned this game. The only good thing I can say about this game is its song selection. Introduced me to the Portal series

I really liked the early premise, but as the difficulty curve for expert mode got steeper, the more egregious the input instability becomes. I recorded myself playing the game just to make sure I pressed the arrows when they were in the box and I did, but it still didn't register. It might just be an issue on my end though, but still, really disappointing since I really liked the premise of the game. It was fun regardless but tedious because of this issue.

Felt like it focused more on delivering gacha than the actual quality of song mapping. Gotta say though, I think the Idolish7 songs are pretty banging

Played it the same day I played DDRA, and similarly to that, something was broken (one of the fret buttons) and my god the guitars were heavier than any of my actual guitars. Couldn't stay standing for one song or else the whole strap was gonna choke me out
