2020

Officially finished Omori. One of the best games I've ever played? Yes.

Gave me Marble Hornets vibes in the very end.

Only got got by one of the jump scares.

In contrast to some other reviews, I think the post-game is a huge improvement on the game itself. The world-building and lore is what kept me clicking and learning more.

Shelving this until I have the patience for this game. It's clearly a beloved game - it must just not be the right time for me with this one.

My absolute favorite game of the year. Despite some frustrating janky-ness in some of the gameplay, the story was pretty near flawless. The gameplay was interesting and compelling. I felt like a master when I took down a challenging boss. I didn't want to stop playing the game once I finished playing for the day - so that's a win in my book.

I don't know what else to say - this game was just an absolute joy. The fact that it provided such a fun and engaging (and emotional) story without saying any words is simply awesome.

Board games are being done well in a digital format. This game is an engaging and well-built machine. However - maybe turn to YouTube or the physical instructions for education on first-time playing. The tutorial in this game is not well crafted.

A decent MOBA that allows for a MUCH more approachable community than pretty much any other game in the genre. Regular updates, competitions, and additional playable characters has kept the game engaging and interesting. I find that I played most at the onset of the game and will pick it back up for every new character. But I lose interest fairly quickly after playing with the new 'mon a few times. A fine entry into the genre that - while it isn't changing the genre or adding to it - provides a entry point into a well managed and controlled environment unlike any other.
