i originally gave this an incredibly high score because of how much i loved the gameplay, and i still think its incredibly innovative and the right direction for pokemon, but the story doesn't captivate you whatsoever and i found myself avoiding progression to just roam the open world
in the end i stopped playing the game when it forced me to level up for story progress when i actually tried to do the story because even though the gameplay was fun, the story just bored me IMMENSELY to the point where i didn't wanna grind just for it

its a good game thats really well designed but i just can't finish it, i feel like i always get stuck somewhere or get bored and then have to backtrack for 3 hours to find one entrance and then i just drop it
