Played it back when it originally came out on PS4 and still as good today! I really enjoy just playing this game. Moving around the city is great and the combat feels so good. The story is a lot better then I actually remembered and has some truly good twists. The side content is good but I wish they did the random crimes a little differently. The dlc is fine but nothing great I just did the Black Cat one. Overall it's a great game and I can't wait to play 2.
When I saw this game had jump button, action button, and button to remind you of the controls I got instantly skeptical of it being a baby game. Turns out it was a baby game!!! Even though it is aimed for younger audiences they still put a lot of charm and effort into it.
I love all the weird situations the game puts you in like defusing a bomb threat in a clock tower or baking cookies to fight off zombies. My favorite forms were the figure skating or karate. My biggest issue is that this game can really only be played once. Every level is part of a “play” so if you want to go back and get everything you will need to watch the cutscenes and if you miss the star you needed good luck because there are no checkpoints!!!
Overall I enjoyed the game more than I thought and I hope they make a second one that isn’t as much as a baby game.

Look, i know it took me FIVE years to finish!!!! but i loved this game. When I picked back up this most recent time, i was at the start of chapter 9. Up to this point I already had played about 60 hours. I love the way just moving feels in this game.
Playing it with so much time in between was interesting. As the last acts of the game have you walking to the very beginning of the game, it was awesome seeing all my old structures and my old path. Everything in this game is just so cool too. The character designs, the guns, the vehicles all of it goes so hard.
My only issue is the controls can be a bit obtuse sometimes, especially when it comes to combat. The story I know is an issue for some but I enjoyed all of it and appreciate it doesn't take itself seriously the whole time.
Can not wait for part 2.

It’s been a long time since I have played a game where story: NOTHING. Open world: NOTHING. But the gameplay is so juicy I really wanted to see it through.
It was a mistake to make the character a custom character. It made me really feel nothing for any of the story beats. It was also kinda lame how most of the main story missions were fight through the same waves of enemies and then fight one of the 3 boss types they made. With all this though, the gameplay is so solid. Counterpsark is so fun. Hitting a chain counterspark and fully staggering an enemy hit my neurons HARD.
Overall, I think it’s a good first try. If they ever do a second one I can see them fleshing out a lot of the cool ideas they had here.

Sadly this title has flown under the radar with so many big releases this Q1 and releasing the same day as Dragon's Dogma 2. It deserved more attention the combat is great and it's a fun game all around. It's loaded with content and has tons of weapon variety.
My main complaint would be I found it to get a bit repetitive near the end. Mostly due to lack of enemy variety, you won't be fighting monsters or anything to shack it up a lot since the is routed in japanese history.
An assassin's creed style open world game with team ninja's combat. Do I think it's ground breaking no, but as a first attempt from team ninja this is solid and happy to have played it.

I knew playing this game after playing FFV would have a negative impact, and it did to an extent, but I did end up enjoying this game, probably even a little more than I thought I would.
Clearly a prototype for FFV in almost every way (from the job system and combat/ to the story and characters) it was clear that they were starting to get on the right path but not quite there yet. Still there's plenty to enjoy here. Even though the job system can't compare with V, it's still fun and I'd take it over whatever the heck that was in II. They do attempt a story here, and while it's basic, it's an improvement over FF1. Cid is back, and is a goat as always.
The music might be the least memorable for me out of any FF game I've played yet so that's a bummer.
There are a couple of frustrating sections in the game (the splitting up enemies can eat my fucking ass), but overall it's a fun game, and I'm glad I played it.
I'm really excited to get into IV and VI next, as I hear these are the games. It'll be interesting to see how they hold up.

So after being totally depressed with dropping BG3 after 20 hours, and swearing off long games for exactly three hours, I decided to give this game a spin. My buddy Parrott suggested it and thought this might help bounce me back a little.
Style over substance here for the most part and I can dig it. The game is very moody, got some nice creep to it. It reminds me a lot of Limbo, which really, that style of game isn't my favorite, but I at least enjoyed the vibe of this one a lot more.
It's a nice short and sweet game with some puzzles. I wish the boss "fights" were a little more creative and they did more with that. But overall a solid time, and I can't complain about the price (free through PS Plus!)

Persona 3 Reload
2024
Where to begin? First and foremost, I want to preface this by saying I enjoyed this game so much that I’m going to review a piece of media for the first time.
75 hours into Persona 3 Reload, I wasn’t sure what I was going to rate it. Tartarus was fantastic; it felt refreshing every time a new section opened up, and the combat was so fluid and fun to play, even as a turn-based game. I split the Social Links into two categories: the side characters and the main characters (including the linked episodes). I have to be honest; most of them ended up being a miss for me. With 20 total, only about 5 were really memorable for me. The rest weren’t bad by any means but somewhat forgettable.
What really makes this game special for me is the story. It’s full of twists and turns, as well as emotional beats that really hit home for me. The villains were a treat; the mystery surrounding them at first was enough to make them interesting until their motivation was revealed. Last but not least, the ending was truly beautiful. If you haven’t played this game, do yourself a favor and buy it. I promise you won’t regret it, and by the end, you’ll feel like A Most Remarkable Guest.
P.S. - Every music track in this game is straight flames.

This game is really good. Great level designs and boss fights. It calls back a lot of what made the original Donkey Kong Country trilogy great. The bonus and levels have clear inspiration from that and since I love that series I adored the call backs. Highly recommended and wish they would another game.

Nintendo the type of company to make the credits fun to play!!
2023 was really the year that I came back to Nintendo. From start to finish this game had me hooked. I loved seeing all the little animations which really popped due to the great art style. The more I played the less i wanted to keep coming back to it which is why it took me so ling to finish!!!! I did NOT want it to end. The 100% was fun and I can't wait to see where they take Mario next.

Hogwarts Legacy
2023
A tale of a game with great combat, beautiful world and superb world building marred by the usual suspects of AAA development: bad open world activities, bloated nonsensical gear system and a predictable storyline.
While i enjoyed my time a lot with it due to the incredible recreation of Hogwarts and the Wizarding World, it was also impossible to not notice the wasted potential in some places, specially after the beginning of the game seeing how good playing inside the castle is.
