Too much of the dialogue is repeated too regularly for it to feel like the world is really changing as the characters move from one generation to the next. This basically kills the replayability, meaning after just a couple short playthroughs, you've seen all the game has to offer. Thankfully it's still pretty fun for those first couple of runs.

Unfortunately the weakest entry in the series, saved by the story and the characters, but the gameplay itself is just such a slog. Combat has been dumbed down and the controls just feel clunky. The open world also does nothing other than waste your time with pointless collectables. And yet the story and the great cast of characters pulled me back, and likely will again before Dragon Age 4 arrives.
