this game had a lot of potential, with fun investigation missions and interesting worldbuilding...
so why did it have to be a fucking mmorpg???

boring game

Fucking boring and slow. Everything you do is a chore. combat is shit.

It's not brutal, it's tedious. You don't 'survive', you fend off random encounters. You don't explore, you scour your equipment-appropriate biome for materials. You don't write your own saga or reveal a narrative, you pump your numbers to clumsily shoot at/wallop on a bag of hit points to unlock the next tier of gear. Rinse, repeat. Better with friends, and fingers crossed that things get better as the game continues to receive updates.

This game is so boring that it's actually impressive.

ngl i dont like the gameplay at all,besides the style and ideas are cool

The general style of this game carries it quite far, but ultimately Viewtiful Joe is a very basic game. I certainly enjoyed my time with it as a child, but would also find it hard to recommend to anyone today.

More like Super Mario MIDshine, amirite?

Completely overrated game that I can only see appealing to people nostalgic for when they played it as a kid.

uh... i beat this as a kid? there's no fucking way i'd have the patience to complete this again as an adult.
