Lots of weird design and evil challenges in the middle then I just blasted through the last 5 hours or so in one fun sitting.

Everytime I start to have great fun again it gets dragged back down by some sort of oversight or poor decision. It's still a good game at the end of the day, but the massive tonal shift accompanied by awful driving, frustrating difficulty with punishing health/checkpointing, and awkward story REALLY get in the way. At least, from what I can tell, I should enjoy Jak 3 more.

God I wish this game wasn't so glitchy and had level-scaling, it would be so fucking good, maybe has a slow 3rd quarter and has some easy moments, but it's so good.

Could do without the motion controls tbh but I could have just used a classic controller, fun game, rewarding to get through, just the right level of difficulty, wish the design was better.

Samba de Janeiro is an unbelievably hype song

This game makes me go full funny let's play mad when I get to the end and the bloody dice rolling fucks up and the CPU wins first time

While it takes some deviations from the last game, Ratchet & Clank 3 is more or less a continuation of where 2 left off. More linear and mission-based gameplay pops up, which while takes away somewhat, it also makes the game a tight and driven march forward. This does result in less natural build-up to upgrades and secrets as you are pushed forwards, not helped by optional backtracking being mostly reserved for the endgame. However, great fun much like the first two games makes this a joy, even if it falls into some of the same traps.

I didn't buy a Zapper so I just held my hands up awkwardly
