let me preface this with YES, i know these games are made for kids, BUT i also believe that kids should have fun while playing games so that doesnt really change anything

i really wanted to like this game, i loved lego marvel 1, but honestly this shit kinda blows. when the levels arent incredibly tedious they are short and forgettable. the partner ai straight up does not work, often standing there doing nothing at all. the combat feels like it also doesnt work, as the health bars dont track properly and hitting enemies doesnt seem to actually do anything a lot of the time, hell, theres an enemy type introduced later in the game that wear red vests and to my knowledge, these enemies cannot be damaged at all, by any means.

at the end of the day it is still a lego game, which comes with a few positives. it does still feel good to collect everything, the roster is HUGE (but features no xmen or fantastic four??????) and the character customization is actually really good.

weirdly i think this is my longest review, which i think is because playing this just left me so disappointed

UPDATE: after finishing the 100% i am docking a full star because holy fuck it was awful and there is no reward for doing it at all. just a fountain that shoots out studs. no bonus level, no secret character, nothing.
