kind of a dumb way to approach the sight & sound thing, i guess (these are not necessarily my top 10 favorites, nor would i consider them all to be the "objectively best and most important" or whatever), though on the other hand i kinda think the results of that actual sight & sound list are collectively that: seminal and influential landmark examples of their form. does anyone really consider citizen kane to be a personal favorite? so, er, i do think my list here is imbued with a touch more personal history, but it's also, like, slightly more basic than i imagine a real top ten favorites of all time at the end of 2022 would be. maybe half of them would be different lol

yeah that's pretty much how I approached my list as well; they're all games I consider standout but not necessarily a top 10, rather more like 10 I consider representative of many different aspects of the medium. would you mind if I included this as a ballot in this master list located here?
