It's a short and harmless game that's easy to platinum, but I can't help but feel that it leans a little too hard on the "it's meant for kids!" excuse to explain its own mediocrity.
The best part of this game? The fact that none of the voice actors from the TV show bothered to show up, so a bunch of English anime dub talent had to fill in.

eugh. Extremely bland platformer that does extremely bland things and is wholistically uninteresting. Pretty much everything that's done in this game has probably been done better in a different 3D platformer, this brings nothing new to the table. However, if you are like a kid and haven't played any 3D platformers before then like i can see some appeal coming out of this in like a "first 3D platformer" kind of way, and with how this game is multiplatform as well as it being sound in a "theres no game breaking bugs" kind of way, i can maybe see some worth to this. If you are someone like me who has played a billion different games already this brings nothing to the table and you'd be better off spending that time elsewhere.
THE PAC IS BACK
But seriously after Twitter went insane after some dude dunked on the intro to promote mid frog show so decided to go through a Pac-marathon for these games and the show, and yeah this one is one the platformers I have ever played in my life, nothing special but nothing terrible either it's just fine. Platforming feels fine, power-ups are fine, enemies are fine, the story is fine, everything is fine.
The replaced voice cast, lack of ball powers like the first 2 Pac-Man world games and the designs that aren't Pac or the Ghosts are ass though.

This game isn't even worth playing as a joke, there's nothing to it. Insanely bland visually, uninteresting music, ungodly simple gameplay, terrible voice acting, and a pointless story. The excuse of "it's a kid's game" doesn't work because I know any kid playing this would get immensely bored immediately.
Used to think this was the hardest game ever when I was 9. Replayed it a few months ago and realized it was a fairly generic, below average kids 3D platformer plagued with super forgettable levels that all blend together, powerups that feel super derivative of powerups from other platformer games, the same generic types of worlds as other platformers, weak-sauce writing, and OK at best minigames and multiplayer. Got through about 2/3 of the game but once it started recycling worlds, I dropped it in a heartbeat and have no real interest in continuing.
Also, pretty much any level that uses the Chameleon or Balloon powerups can go fuck off. Those are made needlessly more difficult by the former’s super funky timing and the latter’s strict flight time limit, and they can be some of the longest stages in the game.
