One of my favorite Fire Emblem games. It features the godlike sprites and artstyle of the GBA games, a solid soundtrack, multiple paths through the Eliwood and Hector campaigns, and it even has a decent plot. Compared to other entries, FE7 has a very strong cast of characters with worthwhile and interesting backstories to discover, along with the typical one-notes and archetypes. Solid map design and mission variety throughout the game as well. FE7 is the all-around good entry of the series.

America's first Fire Emblem is a very solid one. The story is pretty average by series standards, but the protagonists stand out as beloved and memorable. Gameplay is pretty standard by Fire Emblem standards, but average Fire Emblem is pretty hecking great.

Eliwood and Lyn are the OTP.

Love this game. Haven't played most of the FE games, but of the ones I have, this is the purest experience to me.

FE7 manages to be equally offensively bad in story and in gameplay yet still have fans, which I commend it for

its painfully vanilla but it was for many the first game in the series

Join Eli's Wood, Hector Con Carne, and the cool girl as they murder things until they realize they need horses to be viable.

Where did this game get so much hate nowadays? Like man, it's still rock solid great

A barebones strategy RPG, what's not to love? Plus Lyndis is in it.

Hector hace que sea un pedazo juego manin

Pretty solid FE game. Apart from the usual QoL stuff that is missing from the older games, it's really good

Fire Emblem 7 The Blazing Blade
a fun game held up high by its units while being dragged down by its final boss

The characters unit wise really make the game, character wise many feel kind of bland
I've talked about how I feel about the lords a lot, didn't change
I really enjoyed the interactions with the player character as a tactician and it makes the game feel more involved, it's just a shame they don't do it as much after Lyns story until the end of the game
The story was kind of bland
Although I liked Ninian and Nils, Ninian being kidnapped like 4 times really didn't help me enjoy the story

Unit Spoilers -----------------------------------------------------

I really dislike how at the end of the game Athos is the only really viable unit, most others doing very little to no damage against the bosses especially the final one where these master weapons meant to be absolutely insane deal like 9 damage max while Athos is doing minimum 20
I just kept giving Athos Elixirs while he wailed on the final boss

I am doing this review on memory alone, as it has been 3ish years since I have last played it. Yet another good Fire Emblem game.

I was one of those FE Fates babies that ended up playing Three Houses and enjoying TH so much that I went back to play every localized FE game in existence to give some background.
Hector is a very likeable character and my favorite of the game, and Eliwood and Lyn are okay. They don't do anything that really has me getting attached to them more so than Hector. Lyn's chapters are a pretty good tutorial mode. What happens to Ninian and Eliwood's reaction was pretty good to me at least and had me feeling sad.
I see why so many people have the attachment to this game that they do, and besides yet again saying it's a solid game that didn't blow my socks off I do not what else to say.

Hector es el mejor lord de toda la saga y de este pegaso no me bajo.

so so so much fun simple and awesome gameplay. awesome characters. the story is so hard to follow it's awesome. this game changed my life

Eliwood slicing that dragon that just randomly showed up made me laugh really hard

One of the best Fire Emblems, but I take issue with how the game is structured. Lyn's chapters are a real drag if you already know how FE works. I prefer having one long quest rather than three separate shorter scenarios, one of which is a long tutorial and the third is barely different.

a solid game to the series! my favorite of the pre-awakening fire emblems. hoping for an echoes remake, especially if they combine it with binding blade for a two generation game. that would appeal to the people who like optimizing builds for children without... well. everything about how janky fates did children in an attempt to copy awakening. less like fates and awakening and more like genealogy, you know?

The one with roy's dad.

it's the best one that has officially been translated

Favorite game in the series. Map design is top notch and the sprite work is amazing

I can see why this is a big favourite among the fans now lmao. The sprite work is fantastic and despite being as old as it is, I think it has mostly aged pretty well. It'll definitely be a game I'll replay a lot more in the future.

My one biggest complaint is that supports are earned by ending units' turns next to each other, yet getting a good rank requires you to use as little as turns as possible. Not like I gave a shit about the ranking anyway but??? This is truly the game design of all time 💯

If you try to always level up your weakest units, never lose a unit, and never promote until a unit is max level, you will fail. The game refuses to be perfected, and I respect it for not budging on that.

I have completed this game at least 5 times. I recently replayed it in order to give a more accurate opinion about it.
It never disappoints.
A real classic. Graphics, soundtrack, gameplay, challenge, they never get old. Although it is dated, every now and then it is fun to go a few generations back and enjoy this title.
I highly suggest to play it while commuting!

Simple de jugar y con unos protas que pegan mucho

Two of us played this back to back to see who was better at the game, and we both had a really great time. We’ll play Hector mode someday
