I guess I was optimistically hoping for some sort of open-world adventure platformer out of this one but that's not what Happy Feet has to offer. This movie tie-in title is essentially comprised of three gameplay variants that repeat over and over and make up the entire experience.

You'll be sliding down slopes at high speeds, swimming through rings or away from predators, and participating in a very easy rhythm minigame to represent the tap dancing of the story. None of it really gave me any challenge and hardly changes throughout the several hours that make up the campaign. I got somewhere around 60% through the title before I lost interest. The production value isn't too bad here with some decent licensed tracks for the tap dancing parts and the voice acting cast from the movie reprising their roles. I just expected something more substantial on the gameplay front.

fascinated by a dance dance revolution format on a platform that, crucially, you do not dance with

O primeiro jogo q zerei na vida, um ótimo jogo para se jogar quando se tem 8/9 anos 👍

timewaster/10 only need four and a half buttons to play

Não é que o jogo seja ruim. Provavelmente, meu "eu" criança fosse gostar. Porém, eu ja tava bem crescido quando joguei então não era a mesma magia. Mas para uma criança, eu recomendo.

Do you like DDR but wish it was crustier and broken up by slide stages? No? None of you said that? Too bad here's boogie wonderland.

As a child I actually really liked the sliding levels. They looked cool and had different routes to take.

Otherwise, I didn't like anything else even back then. The dance sections are beyond lazy.

I buried this game in my backyard one night and I woke up the next day and it was sitting on my nightstand covered in dirt.

Technically, unfortunately, my first rhythm game

Childhood game, but looking back at it...it's not a great game. Just a glorified rhythm game on a movie.

It's a minigame collection with extremely easy DDR levels, autoscroll collectathon, chase sequences and swimming through rings Superman 64 style.
