Quirky and unique, and when playing locally with others it provides oodles of opportunities for true belly laughs. 95% of achievements, lacking just one which is too time consuming to attempt (Snug: one of the minigame achievements; I recommend trying to achieve it from the beginning because it's not that straightforward to trigger the minigame, so it gets grindy).
I never quite got the knack of the control system - which is basically the game - and I get a little bit of trauma when I see it in my library. But it's a fun game, worth a try.

Heave Ho is a goofy and silly game, producing a lot of laughter and giving a rare opportunity to have fun with friends in a couch coop game. It centers around the mechanic of grabbing surfaces with your hands and swing from start to finish. At times it could lead to some frustrations with less experienced controller hands, but it is definitely a good game to kill some time on a cozy sunday afternoon.
I've played this a LOT since being introduced to it in 2021. At parties, at conventions, heck even at my wedding reception. This is one of the purest local multiplayer experiences you can have: Simple mechanics, clear goal, and a wacky atmosphere to experience it all in. It brings out a lot of laughs and high energy in people whenever I've seen it played, and I think that's something any multiplayer game should strive for.
Easily one of my top 5 favorite couch co-op games. It's short and simple enough to grab the concept of, yet always gets a little difficult and will give you cramps from laughing so much. Screwing with your friends or just watching them fail on their own always leaves me laughing. If you are buying this to play single player, I can garuntee you that you will not enjoy it as much as you would with a friend or three. If you own the game on steam, you can stream the game and have friends play that way with steams built in remote play feature, since the game is local co-op only.
