I could not contain my excitement for Smash 3DS, so to hold me over, I ended up buying this game! I mainly played multiplayer with my friends who also bought it, but I also tried to beat the story mode with all of the abilities. And just now, I attempted to unlock the last unlockable. After beating story mode on Very Hard difficulty, I ended up getting a skin and a map which is kinda cool honestly. The game is definitely not as buttery smooth as Smash, but for a mini-fighting game, it actually has some care put into it. The stages are neat and the abilities and moves are really fun to use. For a Smash Lite, this certainly delivered. Hopefully I play it for fun in the future.
A decently fun Kirby fighting game for what it is. The game is not very fleshed out, or deep. But it has the makings of a fun game which I heard they developed in the later sequels. There probably isn't much reason to go back to this one today, but if you do, you should expect a solid fighter with kirby charm.
due to the need for a fighting game to be "balanced," abilities have become incredibly unfun to use. they've become way slower to use. they're incredibly unbalanced. archer is the only good ability left due to its speed and projectile spam. multiplayer was pretty fun from what i remember, though. this review would be one star if rick wasn't in the game
Unlocked Shadow Kirby, and if I remember right, collected all Rare Outfits. Balance is an important aspect of any fighting game, and this is Kirby Fighters Deluxe's fundamental flaw; its design practically invites you to cheese as many matches as possible. I will not be returning to this game, nor will I be downloading its sequel, Kirby Fighters 2.
Kirby Fighters Deluxe is an extension of the Minigame that came out for Kirby Triple Deluxe it's a game that was exclusive to the Nintendo eshop so if you have street pass data on your Nintendo 3DS you'll get abilities that are exclusive to that game and new stages it would be a kind of "free DLC" for having bought the previous game, it's basically a fighting game there's not much to talk about it has difficulty modes both EASY, NORMAL, HARD & VERY HARD then you can challenge yourself by completing the fights you get new hats of your skills are only cosmetic but it's cute to see kirby with samurai clothes or a costume of a character from a previous Kirby game the matches are fast depending on the difficulty of the game so 8 to 10 minutes is great for you who are out of time but want to play a quick match is a functional game has no BUG much less felt frame drops in the game was fun and I have nothing to complain about.
Super fun!
Super fun!
Solid! As with Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe, this is basically a straight expansion of the subgame from Triple Deluxe, without a ton of bells and whistles introduced (well, excluding the actual Bell introduced). If you liked the core concept to Kirby Fighters, this is that extended to a slightly fuller experience. I don't think there's much more to it, and it sort of exists in an odd place these days with no more 3DS support but yes more Kirby Fighters 2, but it was probably pretty fun for its day. It's at least not completely obsolete at Fighters 2's hands, since comparing the two games reads like comparing the original Smash Bros. to Soul Calibur III; one's clearly a more robust game, but the two experiences are ultimately so different in their design goals that Fighters Deluxe will always have its own purpose.
