Gamers, I do not like Mega Man 10 very much. Big disclaimer for my opinions on this one, I played this after playing the previous 9 games over the course of a few months or so, and was beginning to feel some burnout. Because of that, I chose to play as Proto Man in this one, in hope to change up the gameplay a bit. Holy fuck, was this a mistake. I hope that my problems with this stem from the increased damage taken while playing as Blues, but I really do not want to replay it for a while. The robot master stages are alright, but once I hit the castle stages this became nearly unplayable. I recognize that I am likely being dramatic about this one, and when I think about it it probably isn't as bad if you play through with Mega Man first, and the design isn't really bad per se, but every time I picked it up I dreaded it. It'll be my least favorite entry until I decide to give it another shot, and I'll probably like it then, but until then, bad review!

Apparently I wasn't done with Megaman after blasting through 8 so I wrapped this up in about an hour.
Was the first Megaman I ever played growing up so I have a bit of a nostalgic bias to some parts of it but I think this is a super fun Megaman game and a really good beginners first Megaman with the extra difficulty options and others a fair bit of replay value with Protoman and Bass as additional characters

This one is like an inch better than Mega Man 9, and that's because I don't find it nearly as frustrating or dissappoint, it's just kind meh.

I think the robot masters are overall pretty weak (and personally I think their designs mostly suck except a few cases), the wily bosses are pretty hit or miss, and the weapons are just meh overall. A couple outright bad ones, a majority of the ones that are just mediocre, a good one in the Water Shield, and a great one in the Solar Wave or whatever it's called.

I still think the fact that this game took away Mega Man's charge and slide was a baffling move that limits the level design and boss design from being good, and outright makes some fights shit. Blade Man is a bad fight without a slide because you can't effectively dodge most of his attacks because of the weird angles they come at, especially when he charges you himself. I do like that they added back the ability to roulette between abilities again which they weirdly just removed from 9, and made getting bolts much easier of a task, but they don't make the adventure better, just more comfortable.

Also I don't know where else to shove this in so let's put it here, the block devil is also a bad fight that cannot be made better by a slide. It's just letting it potshot you as you wait for the eye to show up so you can potentially two cycle it, that's not at all fun.

But hey, I do like Sheep Man and Strike Man, I like the Weapon Archive Boss, and I also really like this game's Wily Capsule fight, it's actually a pretty clever fight.

This game isn't like, terrible to play, just mediocre unfortunately because the ideas for levels or bosses or whatnot are just not as solid to me as 9's, made only slightly better than what 9 took away. In speaking of things that are horribly mediocre, here is my ranking of this game's boss ranking.

8 - Blade Man
7 - Commando Man
6 - Pump Man
5 - Chill Man
4 - Nitro Man
3 - Solar Man
2 - Strike Man
1 - Sheep Man

I know in my last review (Mega Man 9) I said that was my new favourite Mega Man game since 6, but this one absolutely takes the cake for me. A lot of what I can say about 9 can be said here. I love how creative these levels were with their gimmicks and it added so much to the regular Mega Man experience. Most of these stages had really cool visuals like the backgrounds or unique Robot Master designs like Sheep Man, Strike Man, and Nitro Man. These Robot Masters are also a lot of fun to fight too. They don't feel too easy, but most of them put up a pretty good fight while feeling fair. This also goes for the weapons, none of them feel overpowered or too situational, but I needed to switch between them every so often since they all had pretty good uses. The Wily Castle stages also feel difficult, but not overbearingly hard like Wily Stage 2 in 9 for instance. I would say this game is definitely easier than 9, but it has a lot more going for it in terms of gameplay. Plus, the multiple playable characters and difficulty settings are a pretty nice touch, though for the run I did for this review, I stuck with the default Mega Man on Normal difficulty. Overall, I'd say this game has tons of great levels, great bosses, and other great aspects that make it one of my favourite Mega Man games out of the 10 I've played so far.

fire ass music especially wily 1's theme, but i could never get past wily 2 and i dont plan to

Playing this game, I had my fun and it did provide a good challenge mega man is known to have, but idk, I didn't liked it as much as I wanted to. Atleast the music is some of the best I'm the classic series.

This one has Megaman in it.
Who woulda guessed?

First Mega Man game I ever picked up back when I was in 2nd grade (I played on easy mode cause I used to suck ass at video games but we'll ignore that part)
P solid classic mega man game, one of the more enjoyable weapon sets in the series (triple blade my beloved) and also maybe my favorite soundtrack? It's between this 6 or 7

An Improvement over 9 to me, but nothing remarkable. it's alright

mega man 10 is pretty good. its level design definitely feels more on par with 9 especially since we still have no charge shot or slide (unless you play as proto man) its nothing incredible but still one of the better games in the classic series

This one's a bit weird for me. The levels are all a bit too long for my liking, or rather they're just pretty slow. I felt like there was a lot of waiting in them. The weapons all kind of suck. I pretty much just used Blade Man's weapon as my main weapon the moment I got it. The stage theming was pretty cool, but the whole game feels like it lacks a certain kick that most of the other games do. I originally played as Proto Man, but I wasn't able to get through the game before I didn't really want to play it anymore. I tried again a month later as Mega Man and was able to get through it, but it lacked that oomph. This one does feel a lot like it would be the last Mega Man. The lack of power, I can't really think of a better word, makes this one never seem to stand out. I really got the feeling that this is the last one when I listened to the Wily Boss Battle theme. Yeah, I don't know. I think its a fine game, it just doesn't really stand out to me.

hated this when it came out, don't think I ever finished it

now I think it's pretty cute tbh, it tries a lot of different stuff and while it doesn't hit the same highs as 9 does for me, it's still fun!!

I used to think the OST sucked but honestly it's just a little more experimental and thematic than the other ones and I can get behind that

you can see wily sneezing during the final boss fight if you use the ice weapon that's some love put into it

Didn't have as much fun with this one as 9.

Dans la continuité du 9, très cool et moins frustrant en terme de level design. Ou alors je suis juste devenu très bon.

Another great classic Mega Man game. I love these clean, polished and (mostly) well-designed Mega Man games.
I just wish there were more Mega Man games like 9 and 10.
The stages were of similar quality as in the ones in 9, although I didn't really like Solar Man stage. Other stages were pretty good though. Still some bullshit as is par for the course in these games.
Also, the Robot Masters in this game might be the weirdest yet. One's a sheep, another is a fucking pump and yet another is a baseball player (okay I have to admit, that one is kinda cool). Even though some of these bosses were a bit silly, the boss fights were good. I liked their powers as well.
I somehow had more trouble with this game than with 9, even though I heard people say that 9 is the harder game. The Chill Man and Commando Man stages took me quite a few tries to get through.
Overall, I liked this one a lot. Maybe just a tad below Mega Man 9.

Not as good as 9 but still a blast to play. Playing as Bass is a blast

o unico motivo de eu nao ter me degolado jogando a wily stage 2 foi que against the pressure é uma musica muito foda

Just beaten this game with all characters. Again, I still don't get it why they decided to remove some features that even was on some NES titles, but at least it's an big upgrade from MM9

Now you really have an reason to play as Proto Man besides achievement. Although it's classic Mega Man so it doesn't have a big story or something like that, both Proto Man and Bass have exclusive cutscenes and dialogues (and also can access the shop). Every song is original, with the only exception being some remixes from past games and the Proto Man whistle that I don't think it needed to change anyway. On Normal difficulty you still need to complete the entire Wily Fortress without quiting the game, but on easy you can save between each stage of the Wily Fortress

Oh yeah, now there is an difficulty option. Normal is basically the common experience, while easy is more friendly to the player adding some platforms, changing the position of some items and enemies, adding an new item to maximize all your health and ammo before every boss and, like I said before, letting you save between Wily's stages (I've beaten the Proto Man campaign on that difficulty since he takes more damage). There is also an Hard difficulty that does the same, but obviously on a way to make the game harder. Unfortunally I didn't beat on that difficulty yet, so I can't say much

It's still feels like an downgrade from 4 to 8, but at least it feels better than 9 and doesn't look that much like 2 anymore

Despite not liking 9 too much this on the other hand was a really pleasant surprise! I had only played 1-7 extensively before playing the rest of the classic titles and I liked the stages appearances and gimmicks as well as the robot masters loads and the wily castle was pretty good too! Was a pretty solid final entry for the while it was.

the best megaman game because you can play as bass from start to finish

I don't care what anyone says - this is the best of the modern games.

It's 9 but a bit worse and has notably worse weapons but 9 is still the best one so that's like saying 23 karat gold is worse than 24 karat and like yeah it is but also it's still fantastic
Water shield is a very fun weapon but this is sadly another game where one weapon is just like the best one because Blade Man's weapon exists (sorry forgot the name I'm writing this at 1am) Solar Man's theme is super good too I love that song
Also having the gameboy bosses with their weapons as DLC and fully playable Proto man and Bass is insanely cool and makes this one of the most replayable games in the series

This is a big step down from MM9 and probably has worse level design than MM4, 5 and 6 but there is one little reason why I prefer it to those games... Bass. I really, really enjoy playing as Bass and he makes this game really fun, that is literally the only reason I really like this game. The level design is pretty uninteresting but Bass makes it fun which is a good reason as to why Bass should be playable in all Mega Man games. Seriously Capcom, what happened with MM11? Where are my extra playable characters?

The best game since sliced break (not to diss sliced bread)

After 9 this one feels a bit stale.I will defend no charge shot and slide in 9, but they really shouldn't have done it again. Level design is way worse then 9 and has too many mini boss fights. Boss weapons are...strange and require specific set ups to hurt the bosses properly. The castle levels are just awful, I would go as far as worst castle out of the 11 main MM game.

maybe im just getting fatigued of classic mega man, maybe proto man's double damage biased me, but man I was not a fan of this one. it's still fiiine but good lord am I glad to be done

consegue ser mais irritante que MM9
