Jetstream is a pretty simple DLC story prequel to the events of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. In here, you play as the titular Jetstream Sam before joining Desperado and becoming one of the baddies in the main game, and it's a surprisingly fun time at that.
Based mostly on chapter R-04 of the main story, it's an hour and something of going around slashing enemies as a familiar but tankier (and thus a tad bit more complicated) character that lacks the augmented abilities Raiden has in his cyborg form, and save for all of its rehashed locations and assets it does have its fair share of animated cutscenes and unique enough boss fight to be a sweet little appetizer after the fact.

But that's pretty much it, I don't think it'd absolutely be that worth it to buy on its own so I'm glad it's included into the PC port of the game.

Memories broken
The truth goes unspoken
I’ve even forgotten my name

I don’t know the season
Or what is the reason
I'm standing here holding my blade

A desolate place (place)
Without any trace (trace)
It’s only the cold wind I feel
It’s me that I spite
As I stand up and fight
The only thing I know for real

There will be blood-shed
The man in the mirror nods his head
The only one left
Will ride upon the dragon’s back

Because the mountains don’t give back what they take
Oh, no, there will be blood-shed
It’s the only thing I’ve ever known

Losing my identity
Wondering: Have I gone insane?
To find the truth in front of me

I must climb this mountain range
Looking downward from this deadly height
And never realizing why I fight

this game is a lie, brazilians should play better than cyborgs.
this dlc is much like the original game but shorter and clunkier (cuz sam somehow feels more sluggish than raiden), doesn't help that they throw the worst enemies from raiden campaign at you without ripper mode to make quick work of them

sam is cool tho, very cool, and this game is canonical to real life, brazilians can indeed double jump and make people take double damage by pissing them off

Would have greatly preferred to have Jetstream Sam as a playable character in the main campaign instead of this.

BRAZILIANS CAN DOUBLE JUMP

Pretty decent DLC. Sam is a cool character too with a fun moveset.

God awful horrendous final armstrong boss fight though.

As a brazilian myself, I can confirm that we anger our enemies and then double jump and slash our enemies' asses on a daily basis.

Holy shit, Brizilians are real?

Jetsteam Sam is perhaps one of my favorite characters in Metal Gear Rising, and getting to play as him was very exciting.

His playstyle is similar to Raiden's but with some devastating unique attacks that feel powerful and look gorgeous.

Overall it's nice DLC but way too short.

Final Rating: "Decent" ~ 6/10.

haven't even finished it yet but this shit was mid and the armstrong fight is bullshit

Sam is super thick, holy sheet I wish my thighs were like his.

Also, last boss is super hard, it's a hell of a jump in difficulty from the main game and sam doesn't have as many moves as Raiden, which is challenging in a higher difficulty.

All in all, fun little DLC, could be better but it's alright. Playing as Sam is very fun.

sam is cool and all but your smoking dick if you think that armstrong boss fight is even remotely fair.,

You know, if they are going to make the players go through recycled stages and bosses, but absurdly buffed just to increase the duration of the DLC, then it would be better if they had made it just about being able to play as Sam in the normal campaign instead of Raiden.
Anyway, Sam's backstory 👍

The "good" Metal Gear Rising DLC (Refight half the base games bosses in gently remixed levels)

samuel rodrigues é a representação do meu país da qual eu me orgulho
