I have abandoned because I never got that Golden Ending. I played through all the other ones and knew how to get it but I just stopped.
Maybe the updated release gives some of the endings more oomph but in the original they're all comically bad. The nature of the mystery and even the genre changes depending on which ending you get but it only affects the last chapter of 10 in every run. So there's big tone changes whenever you get to the final chapter and most of the endings aren't properly built up to and just fizzle out.
The best ending you can get on a first run is hilariously anti-climatic. It basically amounts to "There wasn't a mystery. She kind of just didn't want to talk to you that much and everyone is very stubborn about not telling you."

Very odd VN. It wasn't horrible, and the different alternate endings are somewhat interesting, but it's just a slog to get through the uninteresting story and unengaging gameplay.

Comecei a jogar sem grandes expectativas, por não ser chegado nesse estilo de jogo, mas a história intrigante e os personagens misteriosos da trama me prenderam bastante, o que me fez criar expectativas com o desfecho e acabar por me decepcionar no fim.

A decent story brought down by an absolutely awful main character.

welp, that was dissapointing. At least i got it for dirt cheap

I kept playing to see when it would get good, and it did not get good

I was playing this and I forgot I even was. Well, playing, it's a very straightforward VN with no gameplay really save for some dialogue choices and what not. But MAN. The premise sounded really cool, and I'm still kinda curious to see what happens, but it's just so fucking bland that I find it hard to care. The story moves so slowly for what it is and the characters, art and music are also so incredibly mediocre that I found it really hard to give a single fuck. Granted, it's not really bad, and it has a pretty solid presentation. It's inoffensive, just bland as hell.

You basically stalk your old penpal's high school classmaters, now adults, and basically bully them into giving you information. They cry, piss and shit themselves when you bring up their past traumas and what not and even then they still just barely give you scraps of information about what the fuck happened with your old penpal, so your character just says "damn, time to bully the next one". I'm making it sound much more fun than it actually is.

My Vita battery died while playing it like 2 months ago and I just haven't cared to pick it back up. In fact, I forgot it even existed, which I should just take as a sign to drop this shit. I might just read a summary to see how the story wraps up even though I was about halfway through (around 5 hours when it's apparently just 10 hours) just to sate my curiosity, but I don't think I'll be going back to the little town of... whatever the fuck it was, I can't be arsed to remember even if the characters mentioned the town's name every other line like it was some fucking ad.

What a bunch of assholes, mabye they deserved it.

I've never been as disappointed in anything as I was of this visual novel. Not even worth going through, even if you somehow get it for free.

A decent light novel if I do say so myself. I haven't 100%ed it, but I will get around to it as soon as possible!

Oh, I played this. And It was awful.

Utter dogshit, awful story, awful characters.

A VN mystery with light Ace Attorney mechanics(and extremely similar music). For a game I'm sure no one I know has even heard of, it sure gets around. It was being optioned for a Hollywood movie at the time I finished it, but I have little hope for that. It's a little silly for that to be honest.

I must be a major simp for the Japanese countryside, because despite its somewhat tarnished reputation, I enjoyed my time with this game. It's big on vibes.

A great vn that actually came to the west !!!

Not much too say about this if you like mystery with a little bit of romance in your visual novels you should definitely play this. It's definitely not incredible or the best in this category but was still enjoyable. It was great that you could also skip most of the parts you already played through when doing the other routes. The pen pal system of being able to choose responses to the letter was very cute and I wish more vns did this where you could ask things about the girls you liked. Illustrations and art for this game was terrific as well I loved many of the character designs especially Snappy. The only downsides were some weird translations and typos, as well as some of the routes ended pretty suddenly or fast expecting you to just move on to the next one.

Cool little title that really captures the melancholy of the passage of time and human regret upon growing older, while also functioning as a neat little tour of Japan's Shimane Prefecture. The protagonist is a bit of a dickhead and the ace attorney-lite gameplay segments could have been better, but I really did enjoy it.

An extremely pastoral and methodical take on the adventure-mystery game where the mystery is the melodrama of AnoHana with a bunch of 30 year olds. The sheer amount of areas to scroll through (thanks Matsue tourism board) and a lot of UI oddities can produce some frustration, but the meat of this game is an earnest mulling over the slowness and the arbitrary nature of meeting people, growing up, and growing apart. The routing of the game is mellow while the logic steps of being super confrontational with people you only know via 15 year old written descriptions is right parts absurd and exciting. Max mode is goofy but so is the rest of it. I think the game really didn't need multiple endings and could have been a much cleaner thing if the normal ending was the only ending with some expansion, but you gotta get the VN trash ppl in I guess. Don't bother playing the bad routes, they're not as absurd as some other places on the internet would make you believe.

Histoire plus ou moins intéressante! Le premier playthrough est correct, j'avais le goût de voir les autres fins. Mais en bout de ligne, c'est répétitif, les fins ne sont pas intéressantes.

Visual novel ad for Shimane tourism

Perfect if you love reading your protagonist going around harassing other people, the scene where he bullies a guy over how he used to be fat and gets him to confess information by dangling food over him was when I had enough.
