Let's face it: we all bought this game when the 3DS launched and were desperate for a new Nintendo game for a handheld finally as powerful as a GameCube (resolution aside lol)/PSP.

So there we have: SF IV static edition to prevent online lagging like hell. But, hey, you know: online on 3DS is no more.
Impressive that we still got what was a next-gen Street Fighter thought for PS3 and Xbox 360 on a console like that and with some interesting features, like obviously the 3D effect or battles in a similar Resident Evil 4 third-person mode.

tl;dr stick up with the console/PC versions.

I've been a Guile player since I first played SF2, so this game is pretty awesome for me at least

é incrível o que conseguiram fazer aqui

A great game that is held back by it's system choice - Street Fighter isn't really built for the 3DS. It does add some 3DS unique feature to help build bridges over this hardware hole.

Street Fighter IV in glorious 240p. Fighting games don't feel good on handhelds (especially the 3DS with its piss-poor ergonomics that hurt my hands). The graphical downgrade from HD consoles to 3DS is significant.

The best Street Fighter I´ve played

Using the second screen to shortcut combos was a great adition. In first place, combos exist because there weren´t enough buttons for all the moves, and the second screen solve that problem in this game

weirdly enough, my first traditional fighting game !

No. Not designed for this system at all.

Motion inputs are horrible, only slightly rectified by the fact the touch screen has some inputs on it for you, but even still, do not bother. good for a handheld, but you have to be DESPERATE for this to be considered

I'm still in awe at the fact that this... exists. What we have here is a feature-complete, nearly unscathed port of this PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 game to the Nintendo 3DS. The 3DS! Everything is here, from characters, to stages, to modes and even pre-rendered and in-engine cutscenes in Arcade Mode. Obviously, you're not getting any of the Ultra additions here (because it didn't exist yet), but this is the complete Super Street Fighter IV experience on a platform with a fraction of the power, with some extra additions to boot like a StreetPass mini game.

Sure, there are graphical cutbacks (although it still looks fantastic for the hardware, mind you), and it only runs at 30 FPS, but that's all the cuts amount to. Maybe the load times are a smidge longer, but that's really all it amounts to. Not the best version, of course, but a damn good one, and it has the distinct advantage of being portable. A very impressive effort, especially as one of the very first games ever released for 3DS.

The new 3D angle mode is neat but I prefer the standard mode. A fairly nice port overall. If you like the standard SF4 then you'd like this version too.

Hey there, everybody. It's Ryu, from streets. Did you know? My favorite things are... jumping into the lake fierce, stale bread, water without any ice, the newest season of The Simpsons, aaaand Dirt. See you in street fighter five, everybody.

While the 3DS hardware limitations are noticeable, I think Capcom did a great job of using every ounce of the 3DS's power and created a very solid port of Street Fighter IV.

Bonus points for lenticular cover for the 3DS physical version.

Not much of a fighting game player, and it didn't make sense to play this on 3ds for me.

A good port but kinda hax with the bottom screen

daora, mais os rostos dos personagens sao tao vazios q da medo

Very good port, although they cut a Super for each character, leaving only two.
That aside, it's a good way to play SF4 portable.

Competent port of a SF game i never played, on a console it was stupid to play it on, that somehow manages to be great with how it handles the touch screen. It also had the advantage of being one of the first game son the 3DS.

This is the only version of Street Fighter IV I've played.

I just played an online match against a Japanese Gen who washed the floor with me as Zangief before I switched to Hakan and they switched to El Fuerte and we just had a good old fashioned goof off. The 3DS rules, SF4 rules, power to the players.

getting trolled by 2 dudley mains with barely functional controls and shitty touch screen special moves was a lot of fun. just stick to the real thing and never touch this game

Got it by chance, can't go wrong with street fighter, It's fun to play and the 3D battles are kind of a cool perspective change.
The roster is very nice and varied and the controls make it easier to do flashy moves.

Bought this in Kerry on holiday, it was in one of those display cases in case anyone tried to steal it. One of the last times, maybe even the last time, I saw a supermarket selling video games over here. Played it non-stop at the hotel we were staying at. Paid full price. Maybe it wasn't Kerry actually. Might've been abroad. I don't know. That was the last year we were able to go on holiday anywhere. Would've been years after release too, mind, like 2013. It's a fiver now used. Wild. Played online once and it was early-mid 10s Nintendo wifi stuff so naturally it was unplayable and I was bad anyways so it didn't really make much of a difference. Strange.

My favorite street fighter game but portable. The special moves are mapped on the bottom screen which is useful for people who struggle with input commands. The control scheme isn't optimal but it's still good technically. No real reason to play it though becasue the console version is just infinitely better. But Cammy in 3D might be worth it.

Meio feio. Controles esquisitos no 3ds. O botão único pra combos é um modo apelão.

You think you know what true fear is until you see Guile dashing at you with chargeless flash kicks.

Good console port. Only version I've played so I can't say how it matches up to other versions, but I enjoyed it
