you have arthur morgans voice actor, you have brian dechart, you have the last of us 2 sound guy,you have cory balrog directing, you have ragnarok, you have thor as the first boss. I will be shocked it this game isnt an absolute masterpiece

God of War Ragnarök is in a similar situation as God of War II, as both were preceded by genre-shaking titans that cast long shadows. Following up greatness of that caliber is a tall task and Santa Monica Studio has had to do it twice with the same franchise. Whereas God of War II was an outstanding yet traditional sequel, Ragnarök is so much more, as it builds upon the 2018 entry, exceeds it in unexpected ways, and is a masterpiece that beautifully wraps up this godly saga.

Ainda não tive a oportunidade de jogar mas é goat

Mfs on Backloggd will play one second of this game and already think it's one of the worst things in the whole entire world due to the fact that it's an AAA game made in America.

Also, funny bald man with beard will get to say "boy" a million times again after 4 whole years, so yeah, if I get a PS5, I'll definitely get this.

God of Snore Ragnarock Me to Sleep

I can't believe that trash games like these are getting hyped up nowadays...

Sigh... where are the standards??? Seriously man.

if Kratos doesn't say "i'm getting too old for this shit" then this is the biggest failure of the year

update: he didn't say it but this is the first good movie game Sony has made and i got into DBZ fights with Thor and beat up his 70 year old dad so that was fun

cant wait for zoomers with an attention span of 30 seconds to say this game is boring because they had to watch a 2 minute cutscene telling them not to be a fucking moron.

ultimately one of the most purposeless video games ever written but, despite its best efforts, i still enjoy watching kratos kill gods and no i do not feel bad about it anthony burch

Fuck yeah improved in every way

This is a game in which two characters casually have a sorry I beat up your grandma, thanks for helping me beat up your grandma dialogue. What a banger.

fenomenal, entrega tudo que foi prometido
quatro anos de espera que valeram muito a pena

Taking pretty much everything that was great about God of War 2018 and refining it into this, with a story that stands so well next to its predecessor and manages to expand on it so much. Everything that worked is there, with easier to manage menu's and other little changes that make the game feel fresh but familiar.

If there'd be one misstep I find worth mentioning it's that some dialogue felt a little... odd? Some lines just seem quite 'modern' but it's not extremely prominent. Every once in a while a character would just say something that I expected more out of the mouth of an Uncharted character than a God of War one, but outside of that? Not much to complain out on my end.

I believe that if you liked God of War 2018, this is a no-brainer. The story is just as, if not more moving as the previous one in certain parts and alongside that it's just a whole lot of fun to play. Everything I could ask for with this game.

yeah, game has a lot of flaws but Kratos hugged his kid and I cried so it's a ten

The God of War series will be taking an indefinite hiatus after this game's release due to plagiarism allegations from Disney.

According to the Cory Balrog's notes, he says "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse has always been a major inspiration to me", but nothing is exactly specified.

i cant wait to have you in my life im but an empty shell of myself until you touch my soul with your incredible story, fights and exploration. i will bust so hard my wall will be painted white like the skin of Kratos. this game will be unrivaled under the heavens it shall be the apex of storytelling THE ZENITH OF FIGHTING MECHANICS AND IT WILL BE THE PEAK OF FICTION THIS WORLD HAS EVER SEEN NOTHING WILL TOP IT I WOULD KILL THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE JUST TO HAVE A SNIFF OF THIS GAME.

the way they just kept stroking my shit i damn near started fainting at the first thor fight AND THE LAST 2 HOURS DONT GET ME CHEEEEEEEEESED😩😩😩😩 THE GOATS KRATOS AND ATREUS

If I'm gonna hear someone say one more time that it's just "more of the same" I'm gonna detonate myself and everyone in a 5km radius. I fucking despise this very new trend of calling sequels that don't look massively different "the same". GoW already had an enormous amount of innovation with 2018, it doesn't need more for a while. Also GoW 2 and any OG GoW game to follow, excluding 3, play nearly identically to 1 but nobody bats an eye, it's only bad apparently when new games do it

Anyways, gonna link the full review here(if I ever make one) after I play the game for a while:https://www.backloggd.com/u/Shrouls/review/618952/

meu jogo favorito (espero um dia poder jogar)

inb4 all of the top reviews on this are by the most popular reviewers on Backloggd, and all of their reviews read along the lines of "god of war? more like, GOD, I'm bored."

God of War Ragnarok brings a much more consistent level of quality but does not quite reach the same peaks as its predecessor.

this game has literally more cutscenes than actual gameplay

who the hell wrote the dialogue? why are norse gods talking like a bunch of redditors in a middle of a heated argument?

Without getting into spoiler because I think even the most minor spoilers are worth experience for the first time this game was an emotional roller coaster for me I have both GOW 3 and GOW 4 platinumed and have been playing the series since the release of GOW 4 back in 2018 and have been anticipating this game for so long. The amount of emotions I experienced through the 30 hours of playing the main quest are indescribable this is the first game to genuinely make me break down crying because of how amazing it is. In total I cried 9 times and I honestly am glad I felt these emotions because I will never have an experience like this again with any game. If you loved anything about God of War 4 and your skeptical on buying this game just get it its one of the best experiences in gaming you probably will ever have. I don't think I could end this year off on any better new release this game will honestly even probably leave a long lasting impact on me and I haven't even completed all the side content yet just everything about this game is fucking amazing and I cannot recommend this game enough you will not be disappointed in the slightest.

Esse jogo só é tão bem avaliado pq provavelmente os críticos só jogaram o começo

This is what The Last of Us Part II was to The Last of Us, but better. I won't elaborate (I don't mean a sequel, dummies).

A stellar game, great graphics, great story and characters. And to top that off it improves pretty much everything from its predecessor. I loved my time with the game, GOTY material, definitely give it a try
