I'M STILLLLLLL AN ELDER GOD TIER GAMEEEEEE SNAKE EAAATTTERRRRRRRRRR

I am of the opinion that videogames don't need to look any better than this. This and Silent Hill 3 are the best looking videogames relative to their platform ever made.

The most consistent Metal Gear game.

The story is more focused, gameplay is grounded and engaging, and the pay off is powerful.

solid story and gameplay. nothing really mind blowing but very well done nonetheless

MGS3, while not my personal favorite, is the best game Kojima has done. The characters and voice acting are incredible, the story is a great examination of the James Bond like character, while also talking about the cold war and the risk the world was put into, all with the classic MGS camp.
Son, you got a way to fall.

Hard to find anything wrong with this game. Great stealth gameplay with lots of ways to approach any given situation. Story doesn't have the highs of MGS2, but it has a great cast.

The camera change was welcome.

loved vomiting next to the enemies it always gave me a chuckle

Fixes release-MGS3's camera, its only real flaw. While MGSV has arguably better gameplay, its hobbled story and tired grittiness keep this at the top of the series.

MASSIVE personality on this lad. kojima at his peak just making whatever he wanted. amazing!

For the longest time this was my favorite game of all time and I constantly go back and forth between this and DMC3

Easily my favourite game of all time. Top notch gameplay, plot beats and characters. Shinkawa’s character design is so on point for this one too. The ending makes me tear up every time.

they fixed the fucking camera

You can throw snakes at people and then the snakes bite them

Podria decirse que este es el juego que Kojima siempre quiso hacer con un balance perfecto de Jugabilidad y Drama todo en armonia para hacer uno de los mejores juegos de todos los tiempos.

Best game story, one of the best game finals. One of the best games.

it's the the better version of MGS 3

Combines every single 80s/90s action and spy movie trope into the best stealth action game I've played. Feels like the perfect refinement of all the mechanics of MGS1&2, and adds some great new mechanics like the survival system. The final boss fight and ensuing scene with Ocelot are absolute kino. The only complaint I could possibly come up with is that Cobra Unit bosses aren't nearly as interesting as Foxhound or Dead Cell from the previous entries.

Casi me duermo por el final, el resto está ok.

the only issue I have with this game at all is that at the end music kicks in if you take too long

Metal Gear Solid 3 isn't afraid to be fun, or to be challenging, or to be campy. It's all of these things that make it stand on it's own from its predecessor, and really make it feel like a perfect homage to mid-20th Century espionage fiction that it parodies. The gameplay set the standard for the series going forward, with the largest change after it being the switch to open-world level design in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The characters in the game's COBRA unit serve as refreshingly creative takes on human emotions, providing depth to the relatively straightforward cheesy story, one that adds to the endearing nature of the game.

By far the peak of action-adventure-linear-story-campaign thingies. It's excellently paced in terms of gameplay, story, exploration, etc. Furthermore, it proves the age old false dichotomy of "do you want good story or good gameplay?" is so deeply wrong it's unbelievable. Excellent fucking experience. Almost no complaints.

I raised you. I loved you. I've given you weapons, taught you techniques, endowed you with knowledge. There is nothing more for me to give you. All that's left for you to take, is my life, by your own hand. One must die, and one must live. No victory, no defeat. The survivor will carry on the fight.

Peak MGS. Hideo Kojima, you are a real hero, a true patriot. Thank you for this masterpiece.

Probably the easiest Metal Gear plot to follow but also one of the best. A very good prequel to the MGS series a perfect game. Very repayable and very fun.
