New Rally-X is a big improvement on Regular Rally-X mainly in the area of letting the player actually enjoy the game and saving the high difficulty for later rounds to annihilate the shit out of you and take your credit.
It also features music that's more worth giving a crap about and I'm running out of more things to say about the game.
I think it's fucked up the Rally-X car isn't playable in Tekken 7. What the fuck was Harada thinking with the Walking Dead guy and the loser from FFXV? I guarantee the car would've moved more season passes.

Sure, Rally-X was cool, but then a year later, we got New Rally-X, which basically came along to say "No, that game fucking sucked." It's essentially the same as before, except now with tweaked difficulty, a much more iconic soundtrack, and new different kinds of items to collect. Not much more to say, except Nintendo probably looked at the title of this game and thought to themselves "............GENIUS".

Game #149
Have come to appreciate this game much more after playing the original Rally-X and realizing that this is such a better game that the original is basically rendered pointless. The game starts off much more forgiving, it has actual music, and it has the L flag, a really good way to rack up points by finding it as early in a round as possible. The rival cars still feel a little too fast, as even with the radar it's very easy to be completely caught off guard by one of them. Despite that, the changes from the original Rally-X even make failure more fun, as you feel like you can get a lot more done with every life, rather than being doomed to go back and forth between the same two points in the map trying not to get cornered by three cars. This is a game I could actually see myself putting the time into getting good at.
