Being able to play this without worrying about "is this worth x" really means that the interesting aspects of the game can shine. While the story isnt anything new, the unique steampunk x grim fantasy setting provides a lot of charm to the game that helps to elevate the games intrigue. Gluing this all together the solid, though not spectacular gameplay means that this is a game that seems worth it to play simply for the cool factor of being able to shoot werewolves with a tesla cannon. The short runtime helps immensely for this game as a 20 hour version of this likely would have gotten tedious very quickly. Without that though, the impressive graphics, mediocre story, solid but repetitive gameplay, and intriguing setting combine to make a decently enjoyable package... ignoring the failed sequelbait.

The sequel would have been fantastic. I wish I was there to vote with my wallet at launch.
