Every time I smell ginger I remember chaining anti-nausea ginger candies while John Wicking through Boneworks, my first ever VR game. This game rules as a physics gunplay sandbox, and the campaign is really fun.

this is one of the few VR games that feels like a full adventure and really gets you immersed!! it both looks and feels good to play along with a great OST, my only complaint is that a few of the puzzles felt really obtrusive and unnecessary and make a few sections of the game really annoying to revisit, but besides that it's great!

Honestly, one of the most fun VR games I've played to date. Which may/may not be saying much, but Boneworks definitely deserves high praise! VR makes me nauseous so I play fairly infrequently and in short sessions, so it took me forever to beat this one. Only complaints that come to mind are that some of the physics puzzles are jank as hell and super annoying to do, and combat felt like a chore at times. Also platforming was equally jank. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my time with it! Since I own a Quest 2 and I played this with Virtual Desktop, I imagine I'll have a much more comfortable time with BoneLab.

omg arthur ford hiiii !!!!

A very awesome and fun VR game with a lot of potential inside. Majority of the level designs were really fun to mess around in. Honestly kind of a skill issue on my part, but I found some puzzles a bit challenging, and I don't even think I cleared them the intentional way for the most part. I also had issues with the checkpoint system. There was a level at the far end of the game, where I died several times and put me back and resulted in a lot of progress lost which was a bit fustrating. The story? Ehhh... It was very hard to understand.. All I really got at the end is you're trying to escape a simulation? Other than that, I didn't really grasp what was being told. One final mention is that this game can be physically demanding. You will have to climb items such as ladders and poles in order to progress or get some items, so if you're up for the workout, go for it! I do definitely still recommend this game aside from the negatives I have.

More robust and focused than its successor, super smooth gameplay and phsyics.

This game had one of the best campaigns I’ve ever played. I’m so glad I was able to play this. The campaign of this game was so much better than the Bonelab campaign in every single way. The story was easier to keep up with, the levels were bigger, longer and more open, and puzzles were tricky but not overly complicated. In terms of a campaign, Boneworks is far better, but in terms of modding, Bonelab is far better.

I can't get my Quest 2 to work with my PC without a sickening amount of screen tearing - hoping to get a proper play on this fantastic bit of kit

This was the first game i played in VR and I almost threw up afterwards

the best vr game ever created until bonelab modders finish cooking

black panther for tech bros

Does incredible things within its world. Groundbreaking for vr tech when it was released. Lacks a solid story, which isn't necessarily a bad thing for a vr puzzle-shooter.

No strong opinions. I get why a lot of people like it, for me it just didn't hit the same

A little janky at times, but a fantastic game. One of the first true achievements of the genre.

If there are only 3 games you can get for vr it's this, alyx, and blade and sorcery.

One of the best immersive sims I've played in a while

now developed an irrational fear of melons

Boneworks mostly-overcomes its flaws of having inconsistent pacing/structure, lackluster story and graphics, and janky physics with its impressively-immersive VR movement and interaction mechanics, intense combat, and strong level design reminiscent of classic FPS's.

Does a lot of interesting things with physics in VR, but mostly just feels like a sandbox. One of these days I'll get around to Bonelab.

Timeless, amazing physics sandbox game, story could have been a little more clear.

One of the best and most freeing VR experiences ever. Even better when played with fusion in Lab Works

One of if not the greatest and most innovative VR games to date. In my opinion this game did to VR what games like half life did to pc shooter games.

Amazing game, confusing story, but one of the best vr games yet

i played it a little on the valve index idk why i shelved it i think i just got board of vr as a whole

vive controllers are good and i wish devs would stop pretending they arent

One of the best VR games I've played. Physics-based VR should be the standard.

Back in my day, all the convicts I got held up with in Pelican Bay called me the HAMMER. For I was able to exert so much force through my headbutts, that with a mere swoop of my pendulum like head, I would explode theirs. This game allows me to relive those days as I can grab any creature I so desire too, and headbutt the everlasting fucking shit out of it till it dies.

8.4 - A wonderful VR experience
