this is one of the few VR games that feels like a full adventure and really gets you immersed!! it both looks and feels good to play along with a great OST, my only complaint is that a few of the puzzles felt really obtrusive and unnecessary and make a few sections of the game really annoying to revisit, but besides that it's great!
Honestly, one of the most fun VR games I've played to date. Which may/may not be saying much, but Boneworks definitely deserves high praise! VR makes me nauseous so I play fairly infrequently and in short sessions, so it took me forever to beat this one. Only complaints that come to mind are that some of the physics puzzles are jank as hell and super annoying to do, and combat felt like a chore at times. Also platforming was equally jank. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my time with it! Since I own a Quest 2 and I played this with Virtual Desktop, I imagine I'll have a much more comfortable time with BoneLab.
A very awesome and fun VR game with a lot of potential inside. Majority of the level designs were really fun to mess around in. Honestly kind of a skill issue on my part, but I found some puzzles a bit challenging, and I don't even think I cleared them the intentional way for the most part. I also had issues with the checkpoint system. There was a level at the far end of the game, where I died several times and put me back and resulted in a lot of progress lost which was a bit fustrating. The story? Ehhh... It was very hard to understand.. All I really got at the end is you're trying to escape a simulation? Other than that, I didn't really grasp what was being told. One final mention is that this game can be physically demanding. You will have to climb items such as ladders and poles in order to progress or get some items, so if you're up for the workout, go for it! I do definitely still recommend this game aside from the negatives I have.
This game had one of the best campaigns I’ve ever played. I’m so glad I was able to play this. The campaign of this game was so much better than the Bonelab campaign in every single way. The story was easier to keep up with, the levels were bigger, longer and more open, and puzzles were tricky but not overly complicated. In terms of a campaign, Boneworks is far better, but in terms of modding, Bonelab is far better.
Back in my day, all the convicts I got held up with in Pelican Bay called me the HAMMER. For I was able to exert so much force through my headbutts, that with a mere swoop of my pendulum like head, I would explode theirs. This game allows me to relive those days as I can grab any creature I so desire too, and headbutt the everlasting fucking shit out of it till it dies.
