Borderlands 2: The Video Gaming Experience is a slightly acquired taste - but there is an undeniable flow here once you figure it out. With the Diablo influence finally finding its feet, the game walks the line between Zany and Serious in both its combat and narrative in a way thats riveting and compelling. The sad truth is: Gearbox will probably never write a character as good as Handsome Jack (or most of the cast) ever again.

In fact (hot take) it was probably essential that Borderlands 2 was written with a largely comedic lean, because the unserious attitude helps you feel less seriously about the games cheap feeling gameplay. The games looter-churn means youll be obligated to use guns that suck in a game where the shooting already kind of sucks, the artstyle is pretty but also very poorly assembled and buggy - it all feels less irritating (key word being “less”) when the world is already absurd and illogical.

• JOGABILIDADE.
• GRÁFICOS : Achei incrivel o estilo meio cartoonizado do game.
• MISSÕES SECUNDÁRIAS : Tem várias, demorei uns meses pra voltar e zerar todas ( msm assim n consegui a última q é de matar o boss secreto ).

>> Contras
• Nenhum.

>> Perso Favorito = Claptrap, Lilith e Tiny Tina.

The most complete and fun looter shooter ever made. Has one of the best antagonists ever, and a very satisfying game play loop (shoot thing, get new guns, shoot more things). Also one of the best co-op games to play with friends

First of all: better than borderlands 1, B1 was an alpha of this one

Jokes are better, mechanics, story, characters, cutscenes, bossfights, etc. Everything is better! I get the "I think it's edgy" vibe, but It's a stupid humour that I like and with friends is way better.

Good one 👍🏼

game about guns but all the guns feel like shit

This game was meticulously designed to be as annoying and a frustrating as it can get. Everything about this game works so well together to form an utterly asinine experience(except you handsome jack, i love you)

I mean, what can I say that hasn’t already been said? There’s a reason this game’s as popular as it is. Great story, fantastic villain, funny writing (I love all the meme shit sorry, and now that they’ve aged it’s more endearing than cringey imo), cool environments and a gameplay loop that is so addicting you’d think they put some sort of crack in it. Still every bit as good as it was in 2012.

É bem divertido. A falta de balanceamento tira bastante a graça pra mim.

As an act of rebellion to avoid playing another game, i decided to spent 3 full days getting all the achievements in BL2 for the first time, as redemption to my younger self who put almost every game aside to play nothing but multiplayer shooters for 4-5 years. I do remember this one being the most fun to play, aside from BL1 which is my fav all around being introduced to it in 2011. Gunplay and build crafting is simple and enjoyable i played Axton for the first time so i went with a turret/kill skill build that made my normal playthrough trivial. Now, not having played this game in quite a few years i had forgotten the majority of the dialogue or jokes written and it has to be just the over-saturation of the style of writing, but after the halfway point and for all the DLCs i was tuning that out. I dont know if BL2 is seen as the perfect middle ground of snappy and good writing compared to the other ones (especially BL3) but i was generally bored when it came to having to pay attention to the story, and almost any wit gave me an excuse to eye roll especially with the dated humour, but those got a pity laugh for them even adding it in the first place (they had a Do it for the Vine Badass Challenge name and its there forever). And of course the massive positive i can give the game is the grind it gives you for gear, i didn't do too much of that during my playthrough but if i get bored and return i know for sure i can go hours killing the same boss for a specific thing. All in all BL2 still holds up as an amazing looter shooter with those fundamentals honed in, while i feel like i moved away from its style of writing, i know some people that will quote this and other BL games for hours and die laughing in the process.

I have a special fondness for Borderlands 2 because not only was it the first game to get my wife into first person shooters, but it was also the main way the two of us kept in touch with a couple friends of ours that had moved out of town.

I think Borderlands 2 is, sadly, where the Borderlands franchise peaked and Gearbox hasn't been able to meet this quality in every attempt since. The story and tone are perfect without feeling like it's ever trying too hard the way subsequent Borderlands games felt. The gameplay felt great. Every aspect of it works together to create a fantastic game experience that we still think back on fondly.

The first game that got me into the looter shooter game genre. The game was fun to me.

Shoot it straight into my eyeballs.

To say I loved the first Borderlands was an understatement, and the second iteration took everything that had hooked me the first time around and cranked it to 11. In retrospect, that also meant an over-reliance on some very of its time humor. But even then, this game captured hundreds of hours of my life.

Quite annoying loot shooter, in various ways.

Had fun with that mess though, gotta admit. A good load-out makes one happy, it's a fact. Almost gave it 4 stars...

Horrible writing though. My fault for playing it on the Vita, but it crashed 3 times a session. And combined with that buggy Toil and Trouble mission near the end, it all made me so angry: intentional bad game design masked as "challenging"? Naw just dumb and annoying.

I can complain about the script as much as I want, that will not change that this is still one of the best looter shooters made of its time and Gaige is one of the most fun characters I've ever played in a shooter.

Claptrap is one of the funniest characters in all of fiction, you guys just don’t like fun

Apparently I have 22 hours, and have had this installed since September 2016 and haven't touched it since. I really just turned it off for the day and entirely forgot I owned it for 7 years. Idk just kinda more of the same. Maybe I'll jump on and give it a more proper updated look but it's unlikely I'll bother finishing what I started so long ago.

Backloggd has quite the hate boner for this game whoa

Joltzdude is a trooper for playing this game as long as he has

An excellent looter shooter with a killer and humorous plot.
Well-developed, interesting - open world
Good plot, a large number of additional missions, DLC will keep you busy for dozens of hours
Also original graphic style, unforgettable characters and much more.
I highly recommend playing it with friends, you will simply experience more emotions and love the game even more.

first singleplayer game that i went back to beat MULTIPLE times

A good game with fun weapons, builds, and enemies (except for the buzzards). People harken back to this one when criticizing the other games in the series, but this game isn't perfect. Still, it's probably the best in the series, and very nostalgiac. I never liked the humor in these games but it's at its most tolerable here.

I really liked BL 2 when I was younger, but for God's sake, I can't push myself to finish this game. the bad jokes, the repetitive gameplay, I'm just so tired of it all.

Wasted 130 hours of my life on this game with people l haven't talked to in years.

The only thing stopping me from replaying this game periodically is unskippable cutscenes and dialogue. It takes like 10 hours before you finally get to play the game a bit.
It's a fun lootershooter game bogged down by its story.

playing this solo was a grind, but around level 25 i was all in.

cringe pesado se você possuir o sentido da audição

I'll be honest...I don't get the hype surrounding this game. The writing is 2 dimensional "edgy" attempts at humor. Like a bad Rick and Morty episode. Gunplay gets old, fast. I made the mistake of also doing a solo Zero run and that character does not do well solo.

Final boss is a major disappointment. I'm cool not playing any other game in the series

"It's cute that you all think you're the heroes of this little adventure, but, you're not."

Borderlands 2 is a really fun time. Classes are diverse and fun to experiment with, the gameplay and abilities are hella fun to use, and there's tons of great characters to hang out with here. The story ain't half bad too, with a great driving antagonist that I'm sure everyone knows about. It's just such a fun time to shoot, loot and repeat and keep collecting stronger weapons, it's a great loop and it makes the neurons in my gamer brain go off like a tornado siren. Good stuff.
