For what it is (a storage app for your Pokémon), it does things very well. Transporting Pokémon between the different Switch games and HOME feels very seamless and convenient. Whenever I need to pick up a Pokémon, whether to use it for my own team or to trade it with friends, I can easily find it using this app through it's easy-to-use functions.
I also like the additional features that the game brings. The smartphone app allows me to view my Pokémon even when I do not have my Switch with me, and I really like the trading function as makes trading easier than ever before: allowing me to trade with other players while managing my Pokémon storage. The Pokédex feature is a simple, but welcome feature as well. I sometimes load the app simply to view the many different Pokédex entries available for the Pokémon. I also think it's really cool that each of the Pokémon received new renders for this game, re-imagining the Sugimori artwork as 3D models.
With that said, despite all these nice things I have to say about the game... I'm not sure if it's worth paying $15 a year. These features, while great, are very simple and not worth that much money. A $5/year subscription model (or better yet, completely free) would make this game much more worth it.

Over priced and weirdly limited. why cant you transfer between lets go evee and pikachu? why are 3ds pokemon permanently locked on switch? why is there no pokedex on the mobile app? why is there no trading on the switch version? why is it so expensive when pokemon bank was so much cheaper and worked better?
I wish it was at least as cheap as Pokemon Bank, but oh well. Anyways, this service is severally underrated. The trading within the app is so fun and has become my main wonder trading pokemon since the ones in the switch games kinda suck(RIP 3DS wonder trades) And also the challenges that are in the app are awesome! you unlock really cool artworks when you complete them. Artworks by artists from the TCG mainly, Kawayoo for example drew all the ruinous pokemon for one of the challenges, and you can view the artwork in the app once you unlock it, very cool. The Switch app is missing sorting and is also very slow but all is fine. I like home, just expensive.
