Hot take, but I think I enjoy this more than the Arcade CE. Pressing start to switch between kicks and punches takes a bit to get use to, but it really isn't that bad. Plus, this was designed with the 6-button controller in mind.

The main reason I like this version so much are the difficulty options. It adds loads of replay value on top of the 12 different endings you can get, and for someone who sucks ass at fighting games (how the FUCK do you do a shoryuken??), putting it at 2 stars made the experience super enjoyable for me. Peak port.

Funny enough, this game on NSO was my first dive into the Street Fighter series. And for what it's worth, I think that SF2: Special Champion Edition was a decent version of SF2. Of course, the sound is very crunchy but that's standard for the Mega Drive. The gameplay was very fun, despite not knowing any moves except for Ryu and Ken's because of Smash, but it was really good. Not the best version of SF2 I've heard, but it was nice to try Street Fighter 2 in some way.

It's good to know where Street Fighter started from

Basically the same as the SNES version in terms of graphics, but with slitghly worse sound.
This version has both normal and Turbo modes in, so it actually is the perfect solution for both casual and competitive players.

Pretty solid Megadrive version of SF2.

joguei no switch online, uma pena que só tenha essa versão lá
algum dia eu vou jogar a versão turbo ou finalizar a the new challengers, que foi a versão em que eu conheci esse jogo
