I'm not usually into roguelikes, but Hades drew me in. The music, the gameplay, the art style, the narrative, all of it really immersed me in the world and made me want to see the game to its epilogue.
note: writing this after having one successful run, I know more runs are required to get the full ending but I figure this is a good place to review
what a joy of a game--like many other games I've played recently, I'm way late to the punch on this one, but so glad I played it. the gameplay is just so addicting, with incredible voice cast, interesting story, and gorgeous art to match. I think I would have had a rougher time with this game had I not played inscryption/balatro recently and gotten used to the roguelike formula--this game certainly requires a level of skill to be built up, and a steep tolerance for failure. that being said, the way the story unravels and the way your character progresses really softens the blow on that count, as each failure genuinely feels like progress.
this game is super dope and you should 10000% play it

God I love Hades. As much as it became a little painful to get the epilogue I still love it. The gameplay is so addicting and I love all the characters. The only thing that holds me back from playing more is that my wrists start to hurt.
- Roguelite from the same people that made bastion, transistor.
- The gameplay is really fast and dynamic, having to create new builds with different synergies each run. The runs themselves can be modified with difficulty modifiers to adjust the game to your liking.
- The plot is barebones but it doesn't need to be complex, the character interaction can be amusing but not really memorable.
- The ost is great and really works to enhance some of the stages tension.

Fantastic roguelike but almost feels too easy in its base form. Needs the heat meter to really feel like a thoughtful challenge, but even then it runs out of unique ways to test you pretty quickly. Weapons are awesome and music too, but it leans more on the side of reason and you don't get any assclown level builds that explode everything in 1 nanosecond and crash your game :(
Awesome style, unique gameplay and a killer story. I just feel I didn't get to explore the full game because I beat it after 3 runs and sort of slowly stopped enjoying it.

My introductory for Roguelite games. On top of the addictive gameplay loop, the lore is also well thought out.
No le doy 5 estrellas porque solo Afrodita esta buena. Pero le haria gogogogogo a zagreus homoplatonicamente.
Fun, fast paced experience that has an interesting take on a familiar Greek mythological setting. Love the art style. The gameplay is addictive and very replayable.

Hades simplemente es único.
A quien le guste los roguelike y la mitología griega va a gozar con este juego.
No es que tenga la historia más increíble del mundo, es más bien sencilla, pero su implementación es increíble siendo parte narrativa del juego.
Pj inolvidables, un juego que al principio puedes ver complicado pasártelo porque si mueres vuelves a empezar, pero está hecho de tal forma, por ser parte de la narrativa, que en vez desanimarte te alienta a seguir, y si solo quieres saber la historia tienes un modo que con cada run se vuelve más fácil.
Ahora está tirado de precio por el lanzamiento de hades II. Aprovechad a pillarlo para saber si os gusta y si eso tener fichada la segunda parte.

Demorei bastante para chegar até Hades e derrotá-lo pela primeira vez, então acho que vou dar um tempo. É um jogo maravilhoso que me apresentou a várias novas possibilidades (não tenho muita experiência com o gênero), mas não sou um jogador muito habilidoso no geral, e a repetitividade dos roguelikes tende a cansar. Vou ter que passar por isso mais... nove vezes? E não sei quanto tempo vai levar. Vamos vendo.
The queer representation in this game is so wonderful and respectful and all-encompassing that it almost overshadows the deep mechanical problems that eat up this game's otherwise fantastic atmosphere. Almost.
