A game with a very good ending that otherwise let me down around basically every turn. Or at least compared to the first game. Below Zero takes one step forward and two steps back. The new creature designs are excellent but there are more meh filler creatures than the first game, the map is well designed, but really small and not that deep. The music is excellent again and the creature sounds are haunting, I just wish I could hear them over the vehicles and basic roars given to the loudest and most harmless aliens. Loved the voice acting, I just wish the story put in as much effort as the voice actors. Below Zero would be a pretty good game on its own, but it is a downgrade from its predecessor, and that’s really a shame.
Its good, dont get me wrong its good but the exploration is not as good as the original, i get its meant to be smaller and all but the giant ice worm plays a literal minor role, the story is too in your face to feel ominous like the original did and the ending is a bit unsatisfactory, though its very cool to see a precursor and get on a ship by them and all, it still not a great ending and definetaly not as good as the original
Very similar to the first game
Many improvements to the gameplay elements. A lot of new mechanics that are very nice. The material grind is substantially lowered in this game which is nice.
Environmentally and story wise this game is a bit worse. The progression is a lot harder to follow, and many times you are completely in the dark with no clear objective.
This game does not share a similar story or feel to the first game. Rather than a lonely mystery, this game includes characters and story elements that the first lacked. Some people hate it and some like it. Really a mixed bag, but I found it enjoyable.

Unlike it's predecessor, it's not really that amazing to be honest. The story is great and the quality of life is on touch, but it lacks on progression and overall increased gameplay from the previous one to be considered a new game. It would've been a much better addition as a DLC for the first Subnautica game. But still, it is an amazing experience regardless.
Wertung an späterem Zeitpunkt

I really like Subnautica so when I found out there was a sequel coming out I was really hyped but then when I got below zero it kinda just fell flat. The original game's storyline was unique and surprisingly good because instead of a lot of cutscenes and dialogue, you had to go and explore different parts of the planet to find logbooks that give you lore about the planet, species, etc. In this game though it's just pretty much only cutscenes and dialogue from what I've played. The map/ biomes have gotten a downgrade too, in the original there was so much charm with each biome. They were all unique and fun to explore, with no biome being exactly the same. In Below Zero, the biomes feel kinda bland and the same making it more boring to explore. The sound design in the original game was just perfect, every time I heard a loud noise I would pause the game out of fear, run into my brother's room, and ask him what that noise was and if it was something dangerous (he had played before I had) but this has never happened in Below Zero. Probably the most annoying thing about this game is the snowstorm, it feels like there is a snowstorm 90% of the time I'm on land making it almost impossible to see anything. And lastly, the story in this game is just boring. I have tried to play and complete the game around 3 times now but I end up quitting around halfway every time because it's just too boring. I hope the next game is more like the original rather than Below Zero.
Decepcionado.

This sequel is great for the same reasons as the first opus but its missing some stuff, the biome diversity isnt big enough and some places look like they should be accessible but for some reason arent, that being said the seatruck and the new creatures still make the game incredibly enjoyable to play. Would recommend
