The fisherman is the peak of game design. The sharpness of his outer coat and the way it shines off the light of the sun really replicated the good in the world in contrast to his shadows (the bad).
His hat showing that not only he is a snappy dresser, but is also a scholar. The hat shows that although he may enjoy his life as a fisherman, he still is a well educated individual.
The sharpness of his harpoon shows his willingness to protect not even himself but the ones that he loves. He may seem like a welcoming person, but he will just as easily switch on you if you go against his morals.
I’m just playin, Half-Life 2 demo go BRRRRRR.

A cool little demo, I like the level design and how they did a vertical level similar to the ones in Half-Life 1 here. Though they would definately be tiring to deal with so often in HL2 so I'm glad that's cut. Playing with Developer Commentary enhances the experience and can teach you a thing or two about game development. I played and beat this right after HL2 on the same day.

This is not a game! This is a tech demo from 2003, which shows the capabilities of the new (for the time) features in the Source engine. This included HDR and the commentary nodes. This is an incredibly short demo and I recommend enabling commentary for your first run through. The environment looks great and the Valve team's commentary on water reflections and HDR within Source was really interesting. I recommend this if you're interested in game documentation and how game developers create sections of games.
Gordon Fishman. Half-Life 2 Lost Coast is nothing but a lonely tech demo you can't even call it a game. This game gave me a taste of what Half-Life 2 would be like and I just have to say I am excited. It's a very short mission of you just climbing up a mountain and killing the combine. The only good part was the fisherman. I recommend it to people who like Half-Life 2.
