My first ever review for a game on this site! Not gonna do anything too crazy here, but I have been playing the Mario Party games throughout the year and most of them have been very fun. After a little over 18 hours I finished the game story mode on easy. This specific one has a lot of cool boards, chaos is always welcome and plentiful, and the duel mode was pretty cool with the partners and the potential for strategy, though I wish those boards were more interesting, This is probably top 3 Mario Party games for me atm(have yet to play any of the GameCube ones yet though).

1972

Very simple but also very fun and addictive. Of course gaming history owes a lot to this innovation, but putting all of that aside it's still an enjoyable experience that I could play in any mood in any situation and still get something out of it. Yes of course it's pretty archaic in terms of it's looks and simplicity but I personally found it very charming. Do keep in mind my real game count is around 120 maybe, so I still got some stuff to go through for sure.

7.9/10

This is a tamer version of better arcades games in this vein to come in the future, but it's still cool. I like most of the sound effects and they bring out an urgency at points, and the faster enemies towards the end of a stage is exciting, but I do think the barricades are kind of unnecessary and take away from the dodging aspect of it. It also can be slow to start due to the age but I would say it's still solid overall.

7.0/10

A big step up from Space Invaders the year prior. It has good colors, unique movement from enemies, a cool space background. Some of the sound in this one can get grating at times(probably the one thing Space Invaders did do better) but with improvements in nearly every category and fun game play this one is pretty cool.

8.1/10

I like the rotating shooting from the middle around, and it is fun for a few to blow up some rocks, and try to shot as means of evading you getting hit, but it kind of gets a but boring pretty quickly, the audio is a bit too loud, and the shapes of the asteroids themselves seemed odd. Most the smaller ones look less like rock and more like mushroom but that might just be me. Anyways it's fine and all but it isn't a glowing recommendation.

6.3/10

I am not really into simulation games so honestly this didn't do much for me, but I did appreciate the detail in states and scores and the variety to land in various spots and the controls gives for a challenging experience, but other than that I didn't really find much else I liked.

6.2/10

I mean yeah it's Pac-Man, it's vibrant, unique and fun, but you most likely know this already. Perhaps there are arcade games I prefer more, but it's still great.

8.0/10

I think the game looks and plays decently, but as you go on it just kind of feels a bit redundant. I do really like the character's green design with really long legs and arms, but dodging stuff and moving around isn't actually as entertaining as it could have been for me.

6.3/10

I do think this looks fine. The contrast between the darker blue sea and the teal like blue sky was pretty nice, but the movement of the sub is pretty whatever. But it's the sound that makes this game so bad. The individual sound of the guns and shots are bad enough, but God help you if you hear them all at once. They just needed to balance the volumes a bit better and maybe I could have given it that extra half-star, but legitimately makes the game nearly unplayable. And even if you did mute it, you left with a boring typically dodge and shot game but underwater and with less interesting movement.

3.8/10

Providing a good amount of variety in maps and items, Mario Kart 64 is a really entertaining game on many fronts and I really enjoyed my time with it. I placed in at least top 3 in all four cups which for my money means I have beaten the game. But they also have some battle mode thing which is fairly fun and I enjoyed the inclusion. Some of the maps backgrounds have not exactly aged well in terms of look as well as the character graphics being literally PNGs but the sound design is neat and the music gave a nice touch, but I also wish it didn't stop when you messed up and just kept playing.

8.0/10

As an added bonus I have provided a ranking from best to worst for each Map as well as the Battle Mode ones. Of course it's subjective and if you disliked a map I liked or liked one I didn't it's all good.

9.0/10

No joke, I have a cousin who had a frog run over by a car. I think he would have survived if I had been controlling him. Anyways I like this game.

8.0/10

1981

I don't know I just didn't get this game. It was okay to cut off parts of the board to trap the Qix, but I got bored of it pretty quickly.

It was a fun time generally. I like some of the quick music we get before jumping into it. The bombs and dodging controls are pretty decent too, and the design and colors of the game aren't have bad. That said it didn't kept my interest for long.

6.4/10

Pretty much the same game with a different skin, but the random fruit is a plus so yeah still just as good.
