Pretty alright for an AC game, but it's the usual Ubisoft pitfalls. Same format as always, too much action left to cutscenes, too much side shit and collectables.
Ending fight was... lackluster. Pretty meh. At least let me actually play in the ending cutscene, damn.

This game was my childhood, though the novelty has worn off over time and Microsoft has tainted it a fair bit.

Incredibly predictable story, nothing to marvel over, but the gameplay was engaging enough save for a few mechanics that it's worth playing.

Really like this mod; loved the new puzzle mechanics and the dialogue was cute + funny, even if the story wasn't anything mindblowing. Main critiques are that the game usually only had 1-2 of the new mechanics at any time, stopping use of old ones as it introduced new ones.
Definitely could've done with more levels, even as non-canon ones you could do after completing the game if it would drag out the story too much. Maybe also a multiplayer mode?

It's alright but the crashing is horrible
ubi pls fix

Rest of game: 14h 45m
Farewell (about 30% done): 3h 53m
Chapter 9 is a massive pain in the ass

The game is relatively consistent throughout with pretty steady pacing apart from a few small sections. I especially liked that the game making you decided whether to spend resources on clearing sections of the station/making them easier to navigate or save them for more difficult enemies.
Main annoyances were backtracking was a little slow due to movement speed, and an item that lets you backtrack to the police station later in the game can be discarded before you unlock the way back for some reason. Story was also a little meh, but I didn't really mind.

Mr X was never really an issue for most of the game and can be avoided easily enough once enemies are cleared, though having him around could still be stressful if he decided to suddenly turn around or change routes.

Checkpoints were a little spaced out and the on-rails part of 'Game Over' as well as the survival portion of 'All Ghillied Up' were frustrating on Hard difficulty. Though as a remaster, it's perfectly fine. Lack of an FOV option made me feel really claustrophobic though.
Missions felt slightly disconnected from on mission to another and the story feels a little rushed and not massively explained. But as this is the original start to a new Modern Warfare series, it's good enough.

2017

Definitely a great game overall, sorta switched from meh to damn cool halfway through, but it seems like the kind of thing I'll have to give multiple tries, so... will probably give a proper rating once I've done that. Level design gave me really heavy Doom and Deus Ex: Human Revolution vibes at times.

Good puzzles and level design, perspective did get annoying at times and it probably could've done with a major mechanic introduced for chapter 3, otherwise it has no reason to exist. Boss 'battles' were also meh.

Fun little indie game with cute puzzles, just wish it was a little longer.

"Imagine yourself... in a frozen forest."

Improves on the previous game in a great way. Perfect puzzle difficulty ramp up, great story, amazing ending. GLaDOS is still my favourite antagonist in any game. Oh, and it's a great first game if you wanna get used to Steam Controller / SteamDeck controls!
