It's just okay, and certainly a downgrade from Castlevania IV.

Why would you put a cliffhanger in a GameBoy game?

Very technically impressive but also very annoying. Even so, it's probably the best Castlevania game on the Famicom.

It took Konami 5 games to finally make a good one

It's better and worse than 2 previous titles at the same time
Overall, it's worse though
But at least the game is really pretty and sounds really good for GameBoy

Just like the first one but better (which makes it my favourite game in the series so far)

It's very easy compared to the NES games (which actually makes it the most enjoyable game of the series so far)

It's bullshit difficulty yet again, but now it plays better (I guess?) and has better music.

I'm not doing this, I value the remains of my sanity.

Bullshit difficulty, my favourite.

It's still very flawed but you feel awesome while playing it

The game is kinda good, but also kinda fuck it. When it left me with only underleveled Gohan in my team (because nobody would want to use weaker character in their team so he wouldn't suck as much), I thought I've seen enough of this game already.

Who could've thought that playing a Gameboy JRPG was not a good idea

Why would you play this instead of any other JRPG? ATB is just such an outdated battle system which was a fine excuse for more active combat at the time, but nowadays nobody uses it because of how bad and flawed it is. The story is pretty alright I guess.
