Trails Ranking

Nothing here!

Easily the best of the series. Almost everything in this game is executed near-perfectly in spite of a few forgettable characters and some content being blatantly backloaded for later games. Van Arkride is my MC.
While it has some flops(mostly from building off of CS4's shit foundation), Reverie has some of the highest peaks of the series and easily the best gameplay up to its release.
Least flaws in both severity and quantity, while just being an awesome game all around.
Excellent character work/setup, and Sky gameplay is easily at its best here. However, this game's format prevents it from being as good as this series' Top 3(even if it is a 10/10).
Easily the sloppiest game of the series(fuck the mastermind), yet still somehow manages to be great because of having the best cast and gameplay of the series. Renne is the undisputed GOAT of Trails.
Choppy pacing, atrocious masterminds, and being the start of this series' "why." moments have aged worse since time, but Azure's still a great game from its story, bosses, and the focused characters.
Horribly paced, but aside from two minor villains SC's buildup and characters are so awesome.
Played the long game with its story's message and it paid off in Finale/Divertissement, plus Tauros Domination is funny. Unfortunately, OC7 still mostly keeps its same flaws, and Epilogue does not age well while binging the series.
Chill yet engaging game with awesome main characters. The comfort food of Trails games.
The Trails game equivalent of member berries. The newer characters being fun manage to carry this game's atrocious story to a 5/10, and they aren't even around half the time. Chapter 1 is still peak though.
Commits the deadly sin of making most of its characters and chapters boring. The gameplay's also worse than the previous games in both pacing and combat, but CS1 sets up Erebonia well enough, and its ost is one of the best of the series.
Every single flaw with post-Zero Trails reached a boiling point here with CS4 completely losing the plot as an "end of Saga", but some of the characters and the gameplay save it from being completely awful.
