I played this at launch but never finished it. Tried it again now and the gameplay still holds up really well. This is probably one of the best stealth games out there, but the story takes a backseat with this one.

The gameplay was improved upon the first game which made it more enjoyable, but it still feels kinda janky. I respect what the devs were going for with this unique series, but I do think these games are a bit praised too much by fans and modern Sony haters. I would rather play Sony's "movie" games like the new God of War games and The Last of Us 1.

I haven't played the original trilogy in a while, and I'm glad that I revisited it because WOW the gameplay is a lot more fun than the new games. I already liked the original gameplay more than the new ones, but after experiencing it again after so long it makes you wonder why they changed it. The story also surprised me since I always thought the new ones were a lot better in that aspect, but I might have to lean towards this one now.
