Why cause all these political problems and then just pretend that the melee actually could have solved any of it? Its not ever brought up again in any meaningful way...

The cutscenes and sound design are massively improved from the original, but the use of contrast can be extremely abrasive and make some parts of the game better played in the original (mainly the snow areas or dark areas)

Aside from the checkpoints and vehicles, this game is a massive upgrade from CE. The ending is a huge cliffhanger though.

Satisfactory execution of an amazing game concept. It did get a little stale after a while though.

So much content that it's basically an unofficial DLC.

I'm actually confused as to why people like the game... Out of the 5 hours I played this game 4 of them was just the main characters being cringey and degenerated. The anime is so much more fast paced and less painful to watch.

Graphics are upgraded, but does not faithfully remaster how the original meant it to be.

At its peak, Heavensward was actually really enjoyable to play, but the amount of filler nonsense quests is inexcusable.

Every time the moogles show up expect the story to be terrible for the next hour or so.

reskinned weapons
boring seasonal activity
OK story
The fishing is interesting
PVP is still borderline unplayable.

The game started off so strong, but quickly got super repetitive and had me doing pointless quests when all I really wanted to do was progress the main story. I kept being forced to go on side missions and hold m1 on a total health sponge for 10+ minutes every quest.

I'm sad that I didn't like the game as much as I thought I would when I first started it, because I love the character dialogue and the goofy style that the game has; but the longer I played, the more annoying the game got.

Also the keyboard controls are turbo ass.

Complete remake of the old flash version with thousands of hours of content. This game gets better with every update because they just take ideas from the modding community.

Decent momentum based platformer. Nothing particularly great or terrible, aside from the main menu. I adore the way the menu/level select works.

satisfying puzzle game, but it didn't have a whole lot of longevity for me. Sure it gets harder, but I didn't feel a need to play any more after beating it a few times.

Great story, as expected.
But if you miss a key item and get lost, expect to spend many hours trying to figure out what you missed.
