An absolute monster of a game. The way it goes out of its way to make its maps and general plot as grand and epic as possible really gets you sucked in.

I have a bunch of small things that really held it back for me like the general speed of enemy turns (game’s borderline unplayed without speed up to me, and that has its own drawback of ruining the immersion which matters a lot to me), how a lot of interactions with the individual armies can feel very samey especially towards the end etc but at the end of the day it really puts EVERYTHING into realising a single ambitious idea regardless of how it affects the overall products objective quality and I can’t not respect that.

Also shout to the pawnshop/units having individual gold, surprisingly gives the game a lot of really neat death, I had a blast budgeting trying to juggle equipment between units. Also map design was honestly great for the most part just wish there were some better way to traverse around them that was definitely overkill at points
