I liked this patch, The raid series although a bit weird with how the story was told kinda had a great payoff in the ending. The fights themselves are good, the current raid series for pandemonium is much better than the controversial last series of raids. It was nice to see the politics of Garlemald come back into play.
The trial was so skuffed and chaotic and fun at the same time. A huge upgrade from 6.3 which I felt like was a letdown content-wise in every way. looking forward to the next patch and Dawntrail!!!

This game is not overrated, your not stupid if it's your favorite. FF7 has a lot of loud and subtle layers to it that make it so immersive and incredibly mind-blowing. Every character has something you can read into and so much thought was put into the story and all the cultural/religious references. In many ways Final Fantasy VII was VERY ahead of its time. Tifa is my favorite character in 7!

Honestly, I'm not very interested in the post-EW story now compared to before. I had a lot of intrigue in 6.2, I really liked the exploration and development of the void in the last patch, So when I saw that we were most likely not going back in the trailer I was disappointed but I quickly put a lid on that candle to see what would happen anyway.
I like how the villains played us but I kinda thought everything else was really okay, Something felt off about the scions this time around. I get that what's happening makes sense for zeros character but I'd really like some more backstory on her to be fully won over I still feel like I'm at the doorstep waiting for more, Hopefully, this is resolved by the next patch. If I recall correctly Ishikawa isn't writing this arc for the most part and I can kinda tell especially with Golbez and his motivation. I just really hope 6.4 is more than just us trying to get back into the void.
The new alliance raid is pretty good but the more I can tell it's not as challenging as Agalia. I also feel like this patch is severely lacking in new content compared to 6.1 and 6.2, I really wish we got 3 new PVP maps instead of 1 new one :/

Out of the 3 GBA games, this is my least favorite by a long shot. I've heard praise about the story being good and Roy being good because he's depressed but I think these aspects are good because they are harmless and the game never strives for anything special like 7 or 8. However, I do find that the best gameplay out of all the GBA FE games, but for my tastes, it doesn't carry the game by any means. I always struggle with beating this game after a while due to not feeling invested.
After playing 6.3, I enjoyed this patch more than I let on. I'm not ranking this only for MSQ which is probably a 3/5 but I'm ranking this as a patch to be current on everything included. man, when this patch came out it felt genuinely loaded. I really loved Crystalline conflict, It felt like a genuinely amazing addition to the game, also being able to witness DSR being solved was fucking awesome.

In terms of story content sadly 5.4 has to be one of the worst patches in terms of MSQ post A Realm Reborn, The return to the source is incredibly slow and only the dungeon and the ending really make up for anything. I suppose there's some nice limsa world building but we are nearing Endwalker :( why is the focus here??? its a complete sidetrack.
This really pains me because the OST and graphics are great to me due to me growing up in the era that this was made and I genuinely don't mind the battle system so far because it felt more reactive and random compared to XIV, but the overall experience is so tedious to play. I genuinely believe a few modern enhancements would go miles for the game and allow me to keep playing but I don't really have the time to just sit down and figure out how to enter a random cave and go through a maze in said cave for 40 minutes for just 1 quest. The experience I did have however was very unique and I liked it more than A Realm Reborn, I thought Windurst at the very least was a super interesting city from the few quests I did. I also got really lonely a lot of the time playing this game lol :(
The Jeuno theme is genuinely amazing and I really hope I can return to Vanadiel one day.

I really personally fell in love with this part of Heavensward.
The warriors of darkness story really resonated with me. I saw a part of myself in The warrior of darkness because I personally felt like I had gone on adventures and met a lot of friends along the way in XIV. but instead of it being sunshine and rainbows it went all haywire and wildly out of his control and this made me feel super bad for him.
My only regret is that XIV didn't have a massive budget like it does now, so they sadly had to do a lot of telling instead of showing, Thankfully the Warrior of Darkness's voice actor did an amazing job at conveying the emotion of the character.
The ending to the patch with Minfilla is still one of my favorite cutscenes it felt like a lot to process.
