Look man, It's stupid dumb fun. Don't let the cringe get to you, drop in tilted get shot by Goku and have a fun time doing it.

It's so hard to review this game. There's so much right with it but so much wrong at the same time. I personally believe that the single player campaign is great. With a somewhat bare bones story. It's clear to see that 343 wanted to use the story as a means of cleaning the slate of where they had taken things with previous games, and set up for the future.

I also believe that the main gameplay loop of the multiplayer is fantastic, a great blend of classic Halo and the more ability based 343 Halos. The problems with the multiplayer side of the game come in the form of a lack of content. The amount of content in the game even nearly a year after launch is laughable, and the end of this drought seems to be no where in sight. All one can do is continue waiting and hope that maybe 343 can catch up to what a modern GaaS is.

Truly a triumphant return of classic 2D Metroid action. Perfected gameplay, incredible atmosphere. Classic Metroid fans may be turned away by Dread being more linear than Super Metroid but trust me, the linear path is PERFECTLY curated for an incredible experience. Do not sleep on this one.
