greatest fighting game ever made. no contest

masterpiece. the gameplay is moreso there as an excuse to progress the story, but mixing drinks is fun either way. the writing is immaculate, and the plot is amazing, even if lowkey.
story based games like these speak to my soul in ways i didn't think were possible. i want dana to beat me to death in a dead end alleyway

very fun but i just so happened to pick it up like 2 days before my anime fighter brainrot ended. will have to come back to it sometime

i don't know, man. the game just really wasn't doing it for me. having to look at a 2B upskirt the entire time got annoying, and the combat just never clicked for me. the story probably gets way more interesting after where i left off at, but the game itself wasn't gripping me enough for me to really care all that much. maybe someday.

also the PC port fucking sucks and trying to get it to not suck was a pain in the ass.

the apex of the need for speed franchise. it's a really bad game, but it's a really fun game; the customization is incredible, the soundtrack (barring the one song by that child rapist) is exquisite, and the handling. GOD the handling. every car feels featherlight, in the absolute best way possible. races have this energy to them that isn't felt anywhere else, and i love it so much. the rubberbanding never bothered me. the little bits of story that are there are really endearing. the game kept spinning me out for no reason in the latter half of it but i never cared because i was having so much fun. peak NFS, most wanted can go suck on my nutsack

the best 3d sonic game ever made to me. nostalgia plays a part in it obviously but the game is such a blast outside of that context that i really couldn't care less. 06 has the best OST of any sonic game too so that helps

the best of the (so far) 3 splatoon games, and by extension probably my favourite shooter ever made. i was a fan of sp1 but since this was the first splatoon i played thanks to it being the first switch game i ever owned, this was the game that properly introduced me to the world of splatoon, a world which feels like the backdrop to my own psyche at this point. the systems behind the multiplayer are flawed, but when the game actually fucking works it feels phenomenal. there really hasn't been any multiplayer shooter that has felt better before or after this game's release. the visual style that the game provides is also my favourite of the 3 games; it expands on splatoon 1's aesthetics in every way imaginable, and totally rocks the shit out of anything that splatoon 3 can muster thanks to that game's stupid chaos theme and the fact that sp3's ui is minimalistic in the most fucking boring way imaginable. it has the best backing tracks of any of the 3 games, with the best bands both in terms of sound and just the characters that comprise said bands, which helps to add to the world. the hero mode is nothing special, but i like it more than sp3's because atleast in this one i get to have a P90 that shoots so much ink that the shots unify and basically become an instant death laser. all of this, plus other aspects that i haven't bothered to delve into, alongside Octo Expansion, which is tied for my favourite videogame ever propels this game to peak kino status. as a whole it's honestly probably the best first party game nintendo has ever made

i don't know man, this just didn't do it for me like i hoped it would. i wish the story was more present. what's there is great, and helped me develop my fanfiction a lot, but it just leaves me wanting more. yes the game is challenging, but unlike Octo Expansion where the challenge feels fair in the best way possible, the higher floors of this game just feel like the devs are throwing absolutely fucking everything they can at you without caring about balance or how fun the challenge presented by the overwhelming hordes actually is. i hate that i can't like this expansion like i wish i could mainly for the visuals, though. this is seriously one of the most beautiful games i've ever played in an artistic sense. it's a glimpse into what splatoon 3 could have been if chaos hadn't won and turned everything into a grimy and uninteresting mess; i live in a third world country, if i wanted to look at a shithole of a city i'd go outside

phenomenal on a revisit. if royal had never happened p5 would probably be my least favourite of the big 3 persona games but GOD the third semester feels like it was specifically made for me. shuake is a permanent source of comfort in my life, and maruki is one of my favourite characters in all of fiction
i have a lot of gripes with the game's palaces, but they become a lot more enjoyable once you run the game on Yuzu and unlock the framerate. this game feels fucking horrible on 30fps, thank god the next gen versions have 60 as the default.
there's a lot more general things i could go over, like the general visual style of the game which is very appealing though it falters in comparison to P3/4 to me, or how the combat is both incredibly satisfying thanks to the overwhelming amount of systems at play as well as really unsatisfying because of lacking sound design, or just the general fact that most of the male cast except ryuji is hot as fuck, but i think what i've said covers the things i feel the most passionately about regarding P5R.

by far my favourite yakuza game. it's a total fucking mess; the story is probably bad to most people that aren't me, it's quite likely most people won't enjoy half or more of the game due to the differences between characters, the final boss is fucking abhorrent, even for me, etcetera but honestly none of that can stop me from wholeheartedly loving this game anyway

both entries are called minecraft, but i assume the 2011 entry is about java and this one is about bedrock. the rest explains itself

by far the best modern update mojang ever did. this is peak minecraft to me
shoutout to lena's OST, stands on par with the tracks from alpha and beta

gacha games are a fucking disgrace to this medium and this abhorrent dumpster fire shows all of the reasons why

incredibly solid game. the fact that a story this complex and nuanced can be told on the PS1 of all systems is a testament to how massively ahead of its time this game always was.
the game itself hasn't aged all that gracefully as a whole though. it's a fun time, and a really solid foundation that MGS2 would build upon, but this was the one MGS game where i started playing it to experience the story and didn't gain an appreciation for the gameplay later on. still a very good game nonetheless, and definitely worth revisiting.

fuck the twin snakes btw
