The graphics guarantee to stun,
and the gameplay, it's second to none.
If you enjoy the grind,
you'll have a good time,
in this character action MonHun.

You may call this game Valheim 2,
but it's got progression, skill trees, and loot,
This is much more a "game",
and it would be a shame,
for the cracks, this game to fall through.

The Pal designs are certainly loaned.
And the gameplay, from Ark, it is cloned.
But the loop is solid,
And although you feel squalid,
Palworld does what Nintendon’t.

This game is a long-range buckshot,
while ambitious, it misses the plot.
The unrewarding progression,
does not breed obsession.
Instead, it just turns to rot.

A JRPG? That's a lie.
Jobs? Party? Goodbye.
But a bangin' soundtrack,
and combat that smacks,
is still a good time from Takai.

The story has always been weak,
And the writing's easy to critique,
But the gameplay is king,
And Gemdrop's big swing,
turns this classic into something chic.

You think the game's about pies,
but it's much more than meets the eyes.
This game is a treat,
and when it's complete,
you'll be wishing for just one more slice.

The writing's actually not awful.
The characters, too, are novel.
But the dinos just chill,
And don't care until,
they're dead and turned into fossils.

The story’s cliche, but sweet.
The gameplay’s unique and replete.
May is no fun,
And Cody’s a bum,
But the ending’s a beautiful feat.

If you want to spend an intimate night with a friend with no one around to hear you scream (in pleasure), this is the game for you.

A fantastic feeling game that is unfortunately way too easy. Like, I suck at games, but even I was able to beat this in ~6 hours. The progression is kind of light as well.

But feels GREAT. Fast, smooth, spells pack a wallop, weapons are all unique and fun...just ended way too quickly and the challenge just wasn't there.

Very fun game. If you think you'd be a fan of games like Recettear but aren't a filthy disgusting weeb, this may be the game for you. Breezy, comfy, but gets repetitive, this game is perfect for your Steam Deck/ROG Ally.

The writing is actually also really funny, which helps!

An enjoyable enough rogue-lite. However, what it really is is a simple cult simulator. Your early time with the game is spent 50/50 cult babysitter/dungeon crawler, but it devolves into 90/10 cult babysitter/dungeon crawler near the end of the game.

What is there is enjoyable, but it feels like it could be a little fleshed out on both ends. The dungeon crawling is incredibly simple: you have an attack, a spell, and a dodge. Each feel incredibly snappy, which is great. The management is rewarding, but incredibly time-consuming and gets repetitive. Once you start to build up a large number of followers, it's incredibly chaotic, and not in a good way.

The theme is incredible and what saves is what would be a fairly standard game. The soundtrack is really unique and catchy. The graphics are cute and creepy. The story is just interesting enough to push you forward.

Another positive is that there is a definitive ending. Endless rogue-lites aren't my thing, so having a point where you can hang up your hat is a big bonus.

This is, without a doubt, my favorite game of the last decade.

If you are a fan of Korean grinders like DFO or Maple Story, but want a single-player experience that gives absolutely no craps about balance, you will have an absolute blast with this game. It wants you to break it. It dares you to break it. And when you do, it's pure bliss.

What starts off as a simple side-scrolling action game with a grand total of 3 actions turns into a game where you build our your moveset to encompass thousands of possible combinations. You're whipping spells, attacks, dodges, summons, all while fighting massive screen filling bosses and timing your iframes to dodge attacks that will one-shot you.

Gameplay is king, but the story is no slouch either. The writing is a bit juvenile, but the story itself is a tale of consequences. Your actions impact everyone, for better or worse. How you choose to internalize or validate these choices is ultimately how you view the world. It does drag on a little bit, but honestly, I didn't care.

And the game is horny. So that can be a positive or negative.

This game hits you hard. This game is like a game of poker where you're dealt a shitty hand, you discard three cards, and your new hand is even worse than your old hand.

Nothing goes your way. And it sucks. You see the ending coming a mile away, and even then, you're not ready. You know it's going to end up that way, you know there's nothing you can do, but you hope, and pray, and think "maybe we'll get some videogame magic and it'll all be okay".

Nope. It's not.

This game. Not as mind-blowing as the first, but good lord, if you want a series of gut punches, here you go.
