Although yume nikki has stuck with me for what seems like will be my whole life. I'd rather play this than the former. Why? The creativity and general lack of direction feel more like a dream. Keep in mind, it is far less personal and lacks a story which you can sort of make out. Not for worse or better, but there are moments in which it tries to create unneeded "myths" about itself (as some games do to gain notoriety), creepy or not. FYI I'm a born hater. It's free, play it (there's an easier to play online version).

peak exploration game even better when u play it on ynoproject and participate in the events

Kaito carried the fuck outta this game

Played this on PS2. The undeniable GOAT. Got the unlimited Tommy Gun with matching outfit and my seventh grade self was in heaven

Best story I've ever experienced across any medium, period.

Yume 2kki is the modern equivalent of a spiritual pilgrimage writ LSD Dream Emulator.

It gives you space to think your thoughts, shows you the most gorgeous audio-visual imagery you will ever see in a video game, and just lets you wander.

I will always love this game more than I will have words to express my emotions because of the ways it allows you to create your own meaning in the setting. There are experiences I have had tucked away in the bowels of this game's deepest annals that have changed me as a being.

It takes work to wander.
But what you find is up to you.

In all seriousness, Yume 2kki is a grand grab-bag of a game with a slight barrier to entry. Some worlds are almost offendingly irritating - fucking Graveyard World, I never want to see you again - but if you put in the work, this game holds some really amazing details, as well as the best soundtrack I've found in any game, bar none.

This game is something I show to the people I feel closest with, because it feels like I'm showing a piece of myself to them.

I love it. I will always love it.

i love yume nikki but i defs love this more it is so fucking neat ahaha yume 2kki forever urotsuki forever

Play this on ynoproject.net, it's an incredible experience that you will never find anywhere else. From interacting with others that lead you on fantastical journeys to getting lost in the endless labyrinths of collaborative dream worlds, this game feels like the true successor to Yume Nikki in almost every way.

Biggest Yume Nikki game you could ever play with Mariana Trench deep connections and thirty-six effects currently in the 0.120 update. You will love this game and you will definitely not feel sad after finishing and doing absolutely everything that Yume Nikki has to offer when you have more to explore here due to countless user made worlds and contributions. You will love it if you are a fan of Yume Nikki Fangames.

wasn't a perfect story, but it was pretty damn good in my opinion.

i feel like people hating on chapter 8 suffer from little ceasers syndrome

Completely and utterly unhinged in the best possible way. Nearly constantly baffling on a creative and technological level throughout the entire run time, and manages to be simultaneously creepy, unsettling, scary, funny, charming, interesting, and fascinating. How one of the most memorable gaming experiences I've had in a long time managed to be a Doom II wad dropped out of nowhere on a random Thursday is beyond me, but here we are. Play this and go into it as blind as possible.

MyHouse is completely normal there is nothing wrong with MyHouse its definitely not bigger on the inside or anything i promise

Wow! what a game. Almost everything here just works. incredible writing. incredible music. incredible characters. immaculate vibes. and a universe of off the wall ideas that just go for it. even in the places where it tedium or repetitiveness do appear they honestly heighten the rest of your expierence, there is an intention to the empty and vast areas you must traverse or the monotony in doing the side jobs to get the money you need.
