I'm baffled by the high metascore. It's nothing special. The controls are painful.

There's no reason to play this version nowadays. The forced motion controls and excessive handholding are awful. The framerate drops a lot when a certain desert enemy appears.

The lack of a true battle mode and 59 FPS bug make this worse than the Switch version. It's only 720p instead of 1080p, too.

I prefer the remaster. The amount of paid DLC in the original version is insane.

The remaster is bit better. Lots of screen tearing and a low framerate. Not a good game to begin with.

The remaster is better. Not a great game.

What I played was very generic and forgettable.

The enhanced graphics and quality of life features in the Switch version have rendered this version obsolete. I can see why some might prefer the less anime character models, though.

The original version always looked weird on my PC for some reason (some sort of texture bug, I think) I prefer the remastered version for that reason. Either way, the game falls off a cliff after the first few hours.

Review in progress:
The best way to play these games, but I don't enjoy this series as much as others. The gameplay is shallow and repetitive. I wish there was a PS5 patch.
