Super neat concept for a story-based roguelike that was solidified with Hades but my indecisiveness kept me from continuing.

I think this game did its job because I got so disheartened by the things I had to do that I couldn't keep going.

Excellent spiritual successor to RCT but some of the park achievement criteria in the campaign, specifically those that request manually built coasters with certain specifications, were almost restrictively difficult.

Puzzle game with decent bones but some of the puzzles enter "adventure game" territory with looking for the right pixel to interact with.

Decent roguelike but far too limiting and luck-based for my taste.

My Dad and I connected over this game from a few of the cars you were able to drive.

Fun game to put yourself into a trance. Sound effects get really repetitive over time, especially customer mumbling.

Procedurally generated dungeon crawlers were apparently my jam back in the early 2000s. The weapon "breaking" system was by far the worst decision they made and ultimately made me quit but I had already beaten the game by then so no big deal.

My brother bought this game after seeing it at our cousin's house. I played it too but was too young to have the skills to beat it.

Lovely twist on the item shop owner trope. Gameplay is super simplistic and only the first character you unlock is really usable but I loved the actual shopping/haggling aspect.

I can still imitate some of the Simlish conversations. This game was great but had one of the most terrifying horror tracks in gaming in the form of the "intruder" music.

Played by Katie's MULTIPLE requests - quit because I didn't care for the control scheme nor the aesthetic.

I wish I were better at these games because I love the genre so much and I also love the Three Kingdoms period but I just suck so hard at them that it's frustrating to play. Skill issue.

Sleeper classic from Squaresoft. For an action RPG the combat was super basic but the VA was surprisingly strong and it was a fun whimsical story with relatively low stakes for a good time.

Played this at a friend's house when I was maybe 6 years old - all I remember was that you could use the urinal and that was peak comedy at the time.
