I love a good simulation game, and Dog's Life is one of those odd little "there is nothing else like this on the market" PS2 titles with a good amount of genuine effort and attention to detail in it.

Mex Payne

Total Overdose was one of those odd titles that seemed like it could've been a quick buck by previews but actually playing it (bugs and odd difficulty rises aside) is like someone forced Tony Hawk, Max Payne and GTA into a blender with tequila and told me to "drink it and stop crying, you're embarassing me in front of the girls!"

2003

I saw a trailer for this on a PS2 demo disc and knew I had to play it. Very good game, didn't deserve that dreadful remake.

Gritty, violent stuff. Just not for me. It must absolutely suck to live in Carcer City.

Drive like that uncle who's suspiciously good at handling a car, and slam your vehicle into your opponents. F1 should take notes.

I'd tell Kamiya how much I love this on Twitter but I guarantee he'd block me immediately.

Frantic fun, but I seem to find it very hard to actually see things on the TV when it starts ramping up.

Still own a physical copy of this, somehow.

Shaq watch out, that ball's on fire!

Davilex Games continue their assault on good taste by putting out a game that makes you think its possible to drive in London at speeds greater than 20mph.

My dad played this to the point of being annoying. I could never understand it myself.

Just try and catch my ass coughing to let my friends know the answers, ITV!

Forgot this game existed until I saw it scrolling through the PS1 section, and a flood of memories came rushing back. I remember this being genuinely quite unique, an on-foot racer in blown up environments with weird, very 2000s designs.

"the prolific Racer series"

Yeah, prolifically shit.

Time Crisis 2 is THAT old?! They still have one of these in a bowling alley I used to go to.
