Revisited this one for the first time in years, maybe since release. Accompanied by the Sukeban blog posts for this year’s Daily VA-11 HALL-A you get a lot of look into the writing and development process. Reading the short story Sapphic Pussy Rhapsody is a sharp contrast in style and experience over the last six years. It’s good to check in with Jill after the events of the game, even if it is through the eyes of her cat and lesbian ghost friend.

For the most part it's still Nier, and that's still fantastic. New content is mostly great, though the shipwreck section is a bit of a slog the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th times through.

The 7th generation was a rough time for game design but ME2 is great despite the trappings of the time.

Wonderful game despite my annoyances with ATB and the frequency of random battles.

It's a good thing the combat is fun and the writing is hilarious because everything else about this game sucks ass. Please stop making me examine new gear after every fight

Going from Kiryu to Ichiban feels really similar to going from a third-person action game to a turn-based JRPG.

Incredibly satisfying to play. Runs are long and unforgiving at times. I'll probably keep playing this when I'm in the mood for a roguelite flavored shooter.
