One of the PS2's best. All the weapons are useful and a lot of fun to use, the platforming is fun, the movement is tight and responsive, the game has boundless replay value, and the writing is as on point as ever. The story is a bit weak but that doesn't change how great the overall package is.

Ratchet and Clank was an impressive first showing. The level design is solid, the story is actually decent and earnest, and the writing is always good and a lot of jokes are quite funny. The movement is a bit floatier than future games and some of the weapons suck, but overall the game is still a great platformer
