“stop calling me a baby Surge!” i, a grown woman, yell at my tv as i play a quarter century-old game intended for second graders

I don't know why I bought this man, this why I don't deserve money

We finally have a Gundam game with a story that plays out like one of the shows! We were skeptical of the focus on 0079-era Zeon, but we loved our all-girl squad, and it was interesting to watch them stuck in a war when you already know they're on the losing side.

We wish there was a little more variety to the missions, but as-is, it gave us the story-based Gundam game we've pined for.

As a noted member of the "I Stopped Playing Yu-Gi-Oh After Fusion/Ritual Cards" club, this hits me right in my nostalgic feels.

It was always just fun to have a version of the card game on the go without having to carry around decks of cards. I still enjoy it now, especially as someone who is well past the point of being able to understand how Synchros, XYZs, Pendulums and...whatever the other one is called...work.

God of War Ragnarök is in a similar situation as God of War II, as both were preceded by genre-shaking titans that cast long shadows. Following up greatness of that caliber is a tall task and Santa Monica Studio has had to do it twice with the same franchise. Whereas God of War II was an outstanding yet traditional sequel, Ragnarök is so much more, as it builds upon the 2018 entry, exceeds it in unexpected ways, and is a masterpiece that beautifully wraps up this godly saga.

A great VN with okay SRPG battles mixed in. What makes Survive stand out, however, is how it uses the Digimon property to propel itself in unexpected directions. While gamers were marketed a gritty Digimon game meant for a "mature" audience, I don't think many were expecting it to be quite as dark as this story is. On the gameplay side, Survive has everything it needs to be just enough. Players have access to over 100 digimon, an alignment system taken straight out of SMT (the game files even refer to them as Law, Neutral and Chaos), alignment reps, and decently challenging battles on hard difficulty. The pacing of the gameplay and the VN segments are improved by how much the game encourages you to do extra free battles, where it be to collect new Digimon companions or to grind. I've only done one route so far with 3 more left to go and I'm very excited to fully master this gem.

An extremely well written open world game where everyone feels like they're just trying to get by, and barely managing even that. It's a rough era, scarred by recent war, and a perfect one for you to ply your Witcher trade. There's a lot of intrigue to be found here as often tracking beasts or quest objectives requires some deduction to piece together what went down. Combat also requires a good amount of prep and thought, and is very satisfying to tackle fully prepared. Lovely game! <3

Finally got the Platinum for this game (which now marks my 6th platinum trophy), and god it was a fun one. Had so much fun getting all of the trophies.
