Repetitive ass gameplay and a fucking horrible story. The FF7 world would be better off without this game's story. The voice acting is cheeks also except for Cloud.

So much better that Breath of the Wild. Almost every complaint I had with it got addressed here. The dungeons are better, the bosses are so much better and aren't just copy paste of the same boss, the world feels more dense and lively, the story was handled better imo, and the final boss is fucking peak. The depths can go fuck itself tho that shit is literal abyss. The new arm abilities are better than the sheikah slate and the new champion abilities feel on par with the previous ones (aside from probably Sidon but it's hard to top a literal free revive). Stop with the fucking koroks tho man I can't take it anymore.

It's a miracle the series made it past the first game

The first 2 games but somehow less fun and worse

Shit is way overhyped. 10% of the time the controls feel like butter the other 90% you're fighting them. Like a Sonic game where the whole point of the game is speed but it's what makes the game frustrating to play. Way too jittery to focus on what's going on. Music is the best part of the game but even that is still just whatever.

Symphony of the Night but better

Texas man and femboy rape vampire chick

Game was goated idk why it gets so much hate. The atmosphere is fucking amazing and the gameplay is good albeit not very deep. The enemy designs were really good and unsettling which makes me wish there was more than a handful of common enemy types in the game. The game was pretty easy overall but there are moments where it seems harder than it really is, like trying not to get seen by enemies so you can stealth kill rather than waste all your ammo on a fight. The kuchisake enemies were probably the most difficult enemy to deal with since you couldn't stealth kill them and they were relentless and took a lot of damage. The crimson kuchisake in particular would get me pretty tense when encountering on and trying not to get seen. The story was pretty meh overall but the climax was easily the best moment of the game. There are side quests that genuinely go harder than the main story and are pretty much mini stories of their own, although there are some side quests that are just simple go here and kill these enemies. The one thing keeping me from giving it 4.5 stars is that there are just so many goddamn collectables. You have the main collectable and sort of objective of the plot which are the spirits of people who died in the fog and you need to release them. There are 240,000 OF THEM!!!!!!!! Now granted each cluster of spirits will give you from 90 to a couple hundred at a time but still holy shit. Then you have hidden tanuki, relics (which are probably the best collectable and one of the only ones i bothered collecting all of since they were very much tied to Japanese folklore), jizo statues (which raise your spell ammo limit), yokai (which each give you an item that you need to upgrade certain abilities), and voice recordings and investigation files (which are more lore and background to the main characters), outfit items, and music tracks. I feel like trimming it down to just the relics and yokai and DRASTICALLY lowering the spirit amount would go a long way in making this game feel more manageable. Collectables aside I had a lot of fun with this and think this is a severely underrated game that you should check out if you're into Japanese mythology and yokai and all that.

If you grew up liking Bakugan this is a decent nostalgia trip. Loved the shit out of this game as a kid, but going back while the core gameplay is good, its extremely repetitive. There's a decent variety of Bakugan to collect in the game but Bakugan become useless the further you get in the story and have to buy more powerful ones in order to stand a chance against the CPU. That being said this isn't a difficult game at all, just have Bakugan that are at least the same power level as you're opponent and you're good. I've played this on Wii, Xbox 360, and DS and each game has different minigames that you play during battles. The actual minigames you play during battles are really basic ones like press the right button at the right time or turn the stick clockwise. On the DS versions however I found the trace minigame to be pretty much impossible to do and with minigames being random if you were unlucky enough to get trace you were pretty much fucked no matter the CPU difficulty level. I found the least frustrating minigames to be on PS3/Xbox 360. The story is pretty standard for a tie in cartoon game at the time, but holy FUCK does the soundtrack kick ass. This is unironically one of my favorite game OSTs. Every single track in the game is extremely good and varied. You'll have the typical desert music with middle eastern influence, techno dance music, metal, metal with an orchestra, this game has it all. Other than nostalgia this game would be a 3 star because while I did enjoy it it got repetitive fast, but the soundtrack bumps it up to a 3.5 and honestly could be a 4. In short if you enjoyed Bakugan growing up or still do like Bakugan then this is a good time waster that is faithful to the source material, but if you aren't into Bakugan then you aren't really missing much. Definitely do give the soundtrack a listen though you will not be disappointed.

The original Killer Instinct games, to me, were decent fighting games but not ones that I could sit and play for extended periods of time. This one however is one the best feeling fighting games I've played. I'm not an expert at fighting games by any means in fact I'm a pretty big casual but I still love the genre and this is one of my favorites. The menus can be a bit confusing and it was pretty disappointing that they decided to go the live service route but if you can find it on sale, for example I got it for $10 that came with the game and all content, then it is a HUGE recommendation. In terms of pure gameplay there aren't many other games that flow as well as this.

Saw videos of people playing it and looked hella funny but when I played it it ran like shit and there was nothing to do. Ragdoll physics were were kinda funny for like a second but thats the only appeal. Maybe if there was more people it would be fun but with only a few people it's just boring. Plus it ran at like 10 FPS and kept freezing and crashing.
