really hard to think of a game with more fun going on per second than this one

i cannot stop thinking about the line "enter the survival horror" that shit is so raw

2016

don't got much to say other than i was completely astounded by how much genuine fun i was having playing this game again. doom pioneered the fps genre in 1993 and did it all over again in 2016.

uncharted-esque nazi zombies reveal was definitely a choice

it's so strange to see all the pieces in place for the fps renaissance several years before it truly began with the doom reboot.

its hard to find something to say about this game that hasn't already been said a million times, so i'll put it as straightforward as i can: this game is a true masterpiece through and through. set your expectations as high as you want; chrono trigger will find a way to shatter them.

for me at least, this game might be tied with reach for most campaign completions in the series. it's so brilliantly different, so individual, that i do not think i'll ever be able to stop playing it.

see you in a few for another run.

this game is strange to me. combat can be some of the most frustrating i've ever played and lacks depth, and the game also suffers from a very serious case of triple a syndrome (pointless collectables, very frustrating segments where the player has little control, etc etc). but at the same time it's hard to deny just how much this game made me care about kratos and atreus. i just want them to be happy.

not my favorite in the series, but its hard to deny that uncharted 4 didn't understand the assignment. this game encapsulates the very essence of this series down to a t; fitting, considering the sendoff this game gives to one of gaming's icons. some of the best character writing i've seen in a video game makes this entry a more than worthy last hurrah for nathan drake.

some of the most exhilarating combat i've ever experienced in an action game for like 40 or 50 hours; after that the game starts to lose steam and it shows. the very lacking story doesn't help make up for it, either. but man if my heart didn't get pumping every time i was in an eikon fight. i can remember at least 3 separate occasions where i audibly said "oh my god" whenever something sick as hell happened on screen.

i know it has flaws, but i honestly can't help but absolutely love this game regardless.

the entire segment in the himalayas are some of the most fun i've had in a single player shooter.

i played this over a year ago and got the bad ending; i promised i'd come back to it to get the other one and i decided a few days ago that that time had finally come. now that i'm on the other side, i can safely say that this is one of the greatest games i've ever played.

tunic made me fall in love with video games all over again.

the alternate ending was pretty cool! very little work to be done to obtain it and reflects dead space's greater story in a really neat way. a pretty great bonus in an already phenomenal remake.

gonna have a hard time picking between 2 and this one whenever i feel like replaying a dead space game, and that's saying a lot
