The most mid-entry in the entire franchise. The story being split into regions, and then the main story being a lacklustre, boring flop really brought down the overall experience, even though England was fun to explore.
The first Yakuza game I played, and it was a good time. Good introduction to the world and the character of Kiryu, although some of the side stuff is ridiculously hard.
A great narrative journey that is fun to play through from start to finish. Just wish some collectables weren't missable. I had to restart the entire game because I "used" a statue before examining it first, and that is tied to a collectable that you can't get anywhere else.
Fun little romp with a nice aesthetic. I wish the combat could've utilized actual card-based combat, however, but the narrative was good and the characters were interesting and fun.
I thought narrative Gwent would be fun, but this goes on for way too long and doesn't introduce enough new or interesting ideas. I got bored and I will probably never go back.
I was playing this in bursts and just felt like I was getting nowhere. Also did not have the motivation to actually sit down and complete it. Might pick it up at a later point, but it is hella old and some of the design and gameplay is not fun today.
Actually my second playthrough of this. Enjoyed it a lot, although I definitely felt some of the flaws with the gunplay and the rushed storyline on this playthrough.
